In the 1970s Freddie Satterfield left his comfortable corporate position to seek the American Dream of owning his own business. In 1974, he started an asphalt and concrete paving company in Durham, NC. Freddie understood that the most effective way to achieve his customer's goals was to share their vision of success throughout each stage of the paving process.
Over the next few decades, Freddie continued to build on his original idea, and he eventually partnered with his son Trent Satterfield to help guide the company through its next stage of growth. In 2018, as Freddie prepared to retire, the Satterfields sold the company to John Strenkowski, who was born and raised in Raleigh, and has management experience across a variety of industries including construction.
John and the rest of the Satterfield Paving team, including Vice President Neal Wood and Operations Manager Milo Hardin are focused on building on the successful foundation that the Satterfields established in order to grow the company and deliver outstanding services to our customers for decades to come.

We had a wonderful experience with Milo Hardin, the Operations Manager, and his foremen and crew. They gave us options on surfacing, communicated with us throughout the process, performed on time and gave us a beautiful new 1/3-mile-long drive that enhanced the whole property. When we requested a few small additions, they completed the work quickly and at reasonable cost.

This company filled a pot hole for us last year, however, within a few months the pot hole was back.
I contacted them to inform them of the issue and they promised to come and refill the hole.
That was six months ago. Since then, I and our corporate office has called them numerous times only to receive more unfulfilled promises.
As of the last two weeks the pot hole is still there and now Satterfield has resorted to not even answering (or returning) our calls.
