Greg got an electric guitar for his 11th birthday. 20 minutes later he taught myself how to play Michael Jackson's Beat It. By the time he was a Junior in High School he was making $75,000 a year recording high school bands and rappers in his bedroom in New Orleans East. When he reached his early 20's he was bored with music, but had made enough money to build his own home.
He got a CDL, borrowed his dad's dump truck, and was off as his own general contractor. He felt energized. The passion he had lost for music, he found again in home design. Same itch, different scratch. He enjoyed building that first home so much that he did another and another and another and started selling them as fast as he could build them.
Soon enough people started asking him to help them build their homes. Greg says, I love what I do everyday. Every home we build feels like I'm unwrapping that electric guitar all over again. He would love to make music with you. Shortly after graduating High School Sam joined his friend Greg as one of the first employees at Troyer Builders.

I enjoyed hosting an open house for one of the new homes they built in Bedico Creek. The home was absolutely astounding with all of the detail and custom features. I can definitely tell they put forth great effort into their work as well as exceeding their clients expectation. I also enjoyed their website and the information provided there.

We had a very positive experience working with Greg and Troyer Builders. Troyer Builders cares more about the client and the product than making a profit. Their team was great to work with and very accommodating. Someone was always available to assist us with any questions we had. Their product is of high quality and they always meet their deadlines.

We just finished building with Troyer Builders, and we are thrilled with our home. We hired Greg while we were still working on our plans. It was invaluable to have him sit in on some of our architect meetings. He offered suggestions that made our floorplan flow perfectly. His eye for design and detail is incredible. The first time we stepped into Troyer Builder we knew that we had chose the right Builder it was a sense of clam that came over us. We've always put God first in any and everything that we do and he lead us to a awesome designer. We can truly say that in making many decision and working with your staff sometimes was overwhelmed but your staff put us at ease and so did you we commend you for building us a dramatic eye catching impressive and elegant home. I literally just called the number on the sign and I’ve received nothing but an attentive guy that is literally on vacation and is still making sure that I get what I need, I mean what kind of company is this,… I mean is this heaven and the houses I’ve seen so far this company is going places even in a market that is down. By the way I am definitely at the point of just handing them my wallet and saying take it all and give me the keys. Good job guys!
