Finer Point originally began in 1999 as The Finer Point Professional Paint, Inc. Finer Point Professional Painting specialized in providing premium painting. In 2006, after Hurricane Katrina devastated much of Louisiana, Mike and his wife Angela desired to help the rebuilding efforts and relocated to New Orleans (Metairie, LA).
I am happy to recommend Finer Point Renovations. We used them for a kitchen make-over and several times since then for smaller jobs and could not be more pleased. Mike is trustworthy, knowledgeable, a skilled craftsman who is also a very nice person. The work was excellent and was started and completed on time.

Mike and his crew at Finer Point Renovations is professional, courteous and have a great eye for detail. We could not be more pleased with their work remodeling our kitchen, bar and bathrooms. All were complete gut jobs and our experience with FPR could not have been more seamless. It's refreshing to work with a company that holds integrity in high regard. We will be turning to FPR for other jobs on our to-do list!

Terrible customer service. We could not even get a quote on our home because we would not agree to the average $15,000 on bathroom remodels. And we simply would not agree because our bathrooms are very very small and we hoped to have someone actually look at them first but we also wanted more then just our bathrooms done and they wouldn't even consider us.

This is the best contractor we've ever had. Finer Point has completed several projects in our home including patching ceilings, walls, floors, and bathrooms. We just had my mom's entire bathroom renovated. They communicated with us throughout the project if anything veered from the original, detailed quote. The total cost was competitive and the quality was top notch! We will hire them again to renovate our kitchen, mud room, and foyer. The owner is the best in the business! Totally trustworthy and very talented!

Finer point did an outstanding job on a basement playroom for the grandchildren. There was a lot of "stuff" in the way which they quickly moved into the storage rooms. They carefully covered what they didn't move. Mr. Pingle was helpful in explaining the pros and cons of various paints, lighting and other details. They came with full concentration on this job and completed it in record time even correcting some of the mistakes of a previous contractor.

The house we were renovating needed a lot of work. Mike Pingel provided us a clear and detailed proposal and was very easy to work with. In a job such as ours (the house was 90 years old) there were some inevitable latent defects that became apparent only after the work had commenced. In some cases, we ourselves were uncertain about what we wanted to do. Mike handled these changes fairly. He was very patient with our indecision as we attempted a whole house renovation. He was careful to follow our preferences and advised us in areas we had not thought of. His work was orderly and timely.

Finer Point painted our interior while we were on vacation. When we returned, all the colors were as ordered, all the furniture was exactly back in place and all the pictures were on the wall where they belonged. We have had some serious water problems: old pipes inside the ceiling failing and producing unexpected internal downpours. Finer Point has been great at finding the problem, fixing the problem, and repairing the ceiling so that you would never know there had ever been a problem. They also did a very nice job renovating a shower after a similar old-pipe problem last year.
