Mackey General Contractors did an outstanding job for us. Our roof was damaged by a tornado in June. They were able to diagnose the roof leak problem and repair it. They repaired and restored our ceiling as well.
One of the biggest advantages in working with them was the way in which they assisted in navigating through two inspections by insurance adjustors. Robert, Brandon , and Mike are responsive and very helpful. They are a local family business and we appreciate all of their work on our behalf.

I highly recommend Mackey General Contractors. Top notch professionals and very easy to work with. We recently used them to replace our roof and they did an excellent job! They even used a nice drone with a camera to show us before and after videos and pictures to make sure we were completely satisfied. The owner walked me through the process, knew exactly how to deal with the insurance company to move the claim forward and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I am so grateful for Mackey Construction. The crew was wonderful and returned my home to it’s original beauty after ice damage from the February winter. Robert, Brandon and Michael were of great help with my insurance claim. The condo unit above mine had a pipe burst during a cold weather snap that destroyed my kitchen ceiling, soffitt and a few light fixtures. The owner of the unit was out of the country at the time and I wasn't sure where to start. Robert helped coordinate the repairs, finances and contracts with the owner of the unit above mine, their insurance company, the Home Owners Association and myself. I had leakage in my basement in Nov 2019. To fix the basement, I had called one certified plumber. To get the basement job, he said that he will do all the work. Then, he took out all the flooring from the basement. after fixing leakage, he took a large amount of money. Because we were new to town and the first time we buy the house. I highly recommend Mackey General Contractors and will be eager to call them the next time we have a project! We have a U-shaped ranch in Bloomingdale that is lovely but needs some upgrades. Our master bedroom had brown stucco walls from the previous owner which were not our style. It also had windows that were literally falling apart. We were very happy and satisfied with Mackey General Contractors. They were very efficient. They made a very unpleasant situation easy. We had a broken sewer line that damaged our finished basement. They took care of everything from the insurance, to the mitigation crew, to all the contractors to make all the repairs. They covered areas that were not damaged to protect them from dust or scratches. They even had a cleaning crew to clean up after completion. We would highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs. Definitely 5 stars!!

Mackey General Contractors just completed a complete renovation/remodel of our upstairs living room that included removal of paneling, refinishing the drywall underneath as well as the priming and painting of the room, repairing ceiling cracks, trim work, ripping up carpeting to repair the subfloor before new carpet was put in.
