Removing dead branches, improving form, and reducing risks are all common reasons for tree pruning/tree trimming. Crown raising, thinning, and cleaning are all used to meet pruning goals. Growth and wound closure is best if tree pruning/tree trimming is done prior to spring growth flush. That being said, most routine pruning/trimming can be done at any time with little adverse affect on the tree.
An arborist is a person who is trained in the art and science of trees. ISA arborist certification is a nongovernmental, voluntary process by which a person can document their base of knowledge. Certified Arborists are peop who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation's leading experts on tree care.

We had tree that fell on our house. I called for a bid after seeing so many recommendations on the local FB pages. Chris came out the same day for the bid and made a crew available ASAP. Chris, Josh, Kyle and Mylady came out and took down the tree. All the work (including hauling off) was completed in one day when other companies told us it would take 3 days. They were not only the most reasonably priced but they were upfront and honest. The crew completely cleaned up after themselves and gave us recommendations on potential future work. Chris and his team did an amazing job on removing a huge tree from a very tricky spot next to our home! This tree has been the bane of our existence since we decided to purchase our new construction home. It was a tree that should have been removed before the home was built and went against local code, but the builder refused to remove it. Not only did it hang over our house and the neighbor's house, but it was only 6 feet away from our home and was FULL of termites, which in turn turned into a termite infestation in our house. The crew was amazing!! Chris and his wife Keeley are very specialized in trees and very informant about them. They have great communication skills and did a fantastic job for me on the trees I had completely removed and a huge tree that they trimmed and thinned out. They are very professional and well worth the price. The whole crew and family were all good people in general. Do you care about the health of your trees? I do too, and fortunately for us, we found a professional, affordable, and certified arborist who shares that concern. She is dependable - showing up when she told us she would - calling back as promised - and, my favorite part, taking the time to explain everything to us, any answering every question we had with such patience & professionalism.
I didn’t know that it was no longer adviseable to paint over or cover a cut made in a tree. I didn’t realize that when you hire someone to trim your trees you need to make sure they don’t use the cleats

Chris and the crew were very professional and thorough. They removed 6 Fan Palms for us and did the entire job in about 6 hours including cleanup. The gentleman they recommended for stump grinding (John) did a professional job and was in and out in no time. Chris and the crew even made sure the grinding mess was cleaned up. Their price was very reasonable for the work they did and we are very happy. Will be using them again. They also did one heck of a job trimming our oak tree. It now looks like a tree not a bush. I strongly recommend them.

Showed up early and went right to work and we were not home . What can I say the job they did was amazing ! In no time at all they had completed the contracted work and it was done better than we expected . We would use them again and refer them to anyone . They even picked up a pile of leaves I had not done . Great service .

I hired H & H to trim several trees. Chris is a certified arborist, and he takes care to do what is best for the tree. The trees are well shaped. All the debris was removed. Chris and crew did an excellent job. I will definitely use them next time and would highly recommend H&H Tree Service.
