Please allow us to introduce ourselves - We are Kelly and Janna Hart, natives of the great state of Texas. We have a longtime connection to the Lowcountry, which drew us here permanently. Janna would come visit family friends here every summer from a young age. I have lived in the Charleston area my entire life and it is a shame what has become of this store. I was very unimpressed by my recent visit. For over a year there was mold all over the side of the building and now their main entrance sign is broken and has been for some time. There are giant weeds growing all over the property, even from the planter out front! The lanterns outside are filthy and the glass is dirty. Waking in I was skeptical as the outside was less than impressive. Carolina Lanterns used to look beautiful inside and out. When visiting inside the store to shop lights for my new

The details of my experience are that the sales people make promises that other staff repudiates when it comes time for their performance. They will deluge you in documents which I expect gives them a right to dishonor their oral promises. We were expressly promised that purchase of a latern included installation. When it came time for this company to meet that agreement, the staff, who didn't even try to confirm with sales person who made t hat agreement, said that wasn't their policy. Sales staff appear to work on commission and want no part in involving the "owner." Staff also uses pressure

Phenomenal customer service from start to finish!! I worked with Beverly to pick out new interior light fixtures for our house. She was excellent and we will definitely use her in the future. In addition, the gentleman who delivered the lights was AWESOME. He was professional, polite, on time and genuinely seemed happy to help. He carried the heavy boxes up flights of stairs for me. Just top notch customer service all around. Highly recommend Carolina Lanterns. Fantastic company who obviously hires people who care.
