Family owned and operated, Hornsey Moving and Storage has been serving the Riverbend since 1917. Established in Alton IL., today we are located in Wood River IL. We service residential and light commercial customers. Area served include southwest Illinois and eastern Missouri, centered in the St. Louis metropolitan area, but we can also perform long distance moves.
We specialize in handling pianos. We also offer packing and storage of items. If requested, estimates are available and are free of charge. Whether you are moving with us, another mover, or doing it yourself, these tips will make the process smoother and safer. The earlier you book your move, the better.
Call us about six to eight weeks before your intended moving date to set up an estimate. If you decide to use us for your move, please schedule the move at least four weeks before your intended moving date. This is important, especially in the summer, when we are the busiest. Almost all items that can fit in a box should be in one.

Hornsey has moved us to three different homes the past 25 years and before that moved my Mother a couple of times. This week we used them again and can never say too many positive things about them. A family owned business that is professional and always extreme care with furnishings. Timely, great value without the national firm upcharges just for showing up. I have used Hornsey Moving multiple times and found their workers courteous and amazing. Very careful with my items and hard working, making sure everything was where I wanted it and handled with complete care. I also had to use their storage facility and found my belongings in a safe and organized manner, I cannot suggest their business strongly enough. Hornsey Moving & Storage is a great company and have used them for multiple moves. They are very professional, courteous and well organized. Per my booked date, they arrived on time and went right to work. The movers took great care w my belongings carefully packing, securing and ensured none of my furniture or items were damaged. The movers were very polite, efficient and hard working. Would highly recommend and will use them again.

We used Hornsey Movers last year. I can't say enough about them. They showed up schedule with 2 trucks and about 6 guys. They made short work of our moving disaster and were the most polite down to earth people. I would use them again if we ever move. It made the move easy. If you are ever in need of a moving company I would recommend to anyone. A+
