NEM is a special billing arrangement that provides credit to customers with solar PV systems for the full retail value of the electricity their system generates. Over a 12-month period, the customer has to pay only for the net amount of electricity used from the utility over-and-above the amount of electricity generated by their solar system (in addition to monthly customer transmission, distribution, and meter service charges they incur).
A closed loop system utilizes a propylene glycol liquid to protect against freezing and hard water. The sun warms liquid in the solar collector on the roof. The liquid is pumped down to the solar tank where the heat exchange transfers the heat to the domestic water. As you use hot water in your home, the hot water in the solar tank flows into existing water heater.

I called Aztec Solar on 8/2/2021 spoke with Carrie. I told her I needed my inverter installed and I had not purchased my solar system from them. I informed her it had been purchased 2 years ago from Peterson Dean. I asked Carrie if they would be able to install my inverter from Solar Edge. Carrie said yes, for a flat fee of $130, then $70/hour and a $25 travel charge. I told her I would call her back once I received my replacement inverter. I called back on 8/5/2021, again speaking with Carrie and set up an appointment for 8/12/2021. My appointment window was between 12n and 2pm. My appointment

Although it took several months to finally install - due to high demand - we are very happy with the end result and customer service leading up. Huong's communication throughout the process was fantastic. She was always pleasant and updates were very accurate. The install process went extremely well. Their staff were all very polite and worked efficiently. The foreman took the necessary time to show how to use system interface and genuinely cared about my comprehension of the details. Paul (sales) was excellent to work with as well!

Then I get a call from the office girl hyoung who now says they can't complete the job. We had other companies willing to do the job but waited for you guys almost 2 months and now you can't do the job!

I had the solar pool heater installed. My experience from top to bottom was extraordinary. They came in at a reasonable price. The sales person Jack A. Was really helpful and very knowledgeable. I determined the system, after much research, was the best. Minimal connections and plumbing. The install was really easy. The guys were very respectful and careful with my plants. The most important part was, it works! Really works so much better than expected.by day 4 my super large poll was 12 degrees warmer. And now 7 days later it is 28 degrees warmer! Crazy! We had a great experience with Aztec Solar. Sales person was friendly and worked with you. The person that came out to measure and then install were all top notch. My only critique would be a little more info while you are waiting for install date. We had to call a few times to stay informed. Personally I think there should be a more automated project manager software to keep you informed. Lastly this system is working great and love the low electricity bills.

Aztec Solar was recommended by another company that didn't service our area. They have been in service for 25 years at the time. They were on time and completed the work in one day. Amazing! I highly recommend Aztec Solar. The very best part is our PG&E bill is about $25 a month even in summer running the AC, before it was nearly $400. Needless to say, we are very happy.

Initial install done by another company and it was under-sized for our wishes.
These guys came out, gave a price for more panels and got the job.
During the site work, the installers figured out how to fit in even more panels with some mods. Great thinking on their feet.

Our gas line to the pool heater needed replacement, and it seemed like a great time to consider a change. I contacted a number of local solar companies to get information and quotes to have solar pool heating installed this summer Aztec had the best materials, price and customer service. The installation went smoothly, and we now enjoy 90+ degree pool water (our favorite temperature) every day! I give them my strongest recommendation--wish we had done this years ago!

We had Aztec Solar install our system a couple of years ago. For the most part, the system has worked and provided us with the needed relief of our PG&E bills, as promised.
A couple of issues have come to light over the last couple of years. Their sales promise that they would know and take care of any issues, before we did, was just that, a sales promise. One must monitor their system daily and alert Aztec as soon as possible with any issues.
It takes Aztec 10-15 days to schedule a tech to look into the issue and resolve. There is no priority for their techs to resolve issues with

If you are looking for an inexpensive and small solar system, this is not the place for you. Seems to be more expensive than other solar companies with the same type of panel brands, they are good people, but they don’t seem to want to work with small budgets, I get it, the commission isn’t great, the other thing is they also want to include the federal incentives so the package looks cheaper, but it’s not a guaranteed to get the federal incentives. I say find right solar company that is willing to work with your budget. Also make sure you find out what their work schedule is so that you

I needed a diagnosis and repair to my existing system, installed by The Solarco, which is now out of business. Aztec promptly scheduled a technician "Kyle" to come out to my property in Valley Springs. He had the problem diagnosed and repaired fast.
I called multiple companies for service and Aztec was the only one I found that could help me.
Sierra Pacific that had sent me a post card to my address, said I was out of their area, but could maybe send someone out for an extra charge maybe in about six months. Several other companies next even returned calls.

I'm writing this review for my grandparents since they don't have yelp. They wanted to acknowledge a job well done.
Ken was their point of contact leading up to the installation. My grandparents felt that Ken was trustworthy and easy to talk to. He didn't pressure them into making a decision they weren't comfortable with. They are now able to power the house and heat the pool at a fraction of the cost. More importantly, they're helping the environment.
They had an easy time scheduling the installation with the office. They didn't have to wait months for somebody

I purchased a home with an existing solar pool heating system installed by Aztec Solar. Every 6 months, per Aztec's recommendation, I pay over $100 for them to come out to seasonally maintenance the system, once in May, once in October. During these seasonal maintenance jobs, Aztec also is supposed to inspect the system for any damage and then offer repairs. Every time there is something in need of repair (which is virtually every time) I elect to have it repaired.

Big difference. — My electric bill exceeded $286 and is now eliminated -with the exception of monthly meter rent. Plus power that I… do not require will be purchased by the electric company. There is no longer a limit to the amount they will rebate. Plus there is a 30% “refund” from IRS for solar investment with no limit!
