Highly recommend these Folks. After 10 years their warranty had nearly elapsed, but they were honorable enough to stand behind their warranty and come out and repaired an asphalt job that was really not their fault but more the nature of my driveway. Regardless they did the most honorable thing and came out and repaired it. (Just cracking around the edges that needed back filling with dirt.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR FOR ANY SERVICES THEY OFFER. They are to be trusted and used !

Demo and rebuild retaining wall. Demo and re-install asphalt driveway. Install new concrete patio in the back yard. All communications were very professional. Prep, set-up and install of all were completed in just over a weeks time. Better warranty than competitors. Overall excellent experience. Cottage Grove, MN.

DO Not use this company. Our project was a new driveway, a garage apron, sidewalk with front step and a block retaining wall. First thing was the retaining wall. I rented a metal detector to find the marker and marked it for them. They still put the wall on the neighbors property and then argued with me that it was fine. They did finally move it. Next was the concrete work. First of all I came home to find they poured the concrete not on the day they where scheduled to do it so I had no way into my house. We only have 2 doors into our home 1 front door with new concrete step and a patio door in

I had a very similar experience as Melinda's post. Delays, excuses, more delays and excuses. Then it was the last possible day due to impending cold weather and they did a so-so job, with seams and poor cosmetics. Now 2 years later, the driveway has a couple of issues that need to be addressed (including a crack across the entire width) yet they won't come out at all. I was told I would "have to wait until next year... I can put you down on the list for next spring, since we stop servicing past customers after Labor Day." Contracted with ACT Asphalt Specialties Co for a driveway replacement. The end result looks great! But the road getting there was a bit bumpy.
The office and/or paving crew had poor communication and would pass blame around when I was not notified that crews were coming.
Our driveway was torn up for an entire month (9/14 to 10/14) due to rain delays and a failed first attempt at laying asphalt.
Their sales documentation stresses that a dry base is essential for laying down a good driveway. Despite torrential rainfall a day prior, they attempted to pave my driveway, only to call it quits once

We recently had our sidewalk and driveway replaced by Asphalt Specialties very satisfied with the final product. Every time they scheduled a stage of the work needed to be done they were always on time and sometimes earlier. Our sales person Joe was always there when we had questions and when the city inspector needed us to expose the property pins he took care of that. Great company to work with would definitely refer to others.

We have had so many issues with this company that I don't even know where to begin. We agreed to work with ACT on 8/2/18. As part of the agreement, we sent them a check for $3,475. Within a week of sending them the check, they cashed it & held onto our money for over a month before even beginning to work on our new driveway on 9/18/18. After tearing up our old driveway, there were a lot of days where it rained & so the driveway installation was pushed back until 9

After building a second garage on my property I needed to rip out my old driveway and replace with a new wider asphalt driveway. My experience with Asphalt Specialties was fantastic. The sales rep worked with me regarding my concerns, needs, and the budget I was working with. He did not try to oversell me on anything and came up with helpful suggestions on getting the right end result I needed within my budget. I ended up hiring them to build a retaining wall as well as part of the project and they did a great job on it. I have done a lot of remodeling/construction the past 5 years. I will say

So far, very unhappy. They finished my job minutes before a huge rainstorm. They covered the concrete, but poorly, so it got poured on before it could cure. There are several spots with obvious damage. In addition, the sealant or whatever they put on top was just slapped on, and looks terrible. I and my wife both left several messages with the office, none of which were returned. My salesman was very responsive, but he said it would be at least 10-12 days before someone could come out and look at it. Apparently they only have one person who is able to do that, and I am not high enough on the priority
