Services
The Thomas A. Moore Design Company is the company to choose when you want your project to be designed, supervised and completed exactly as you have envisioned it from the beginning. We create the construction drawings and specifications that will be used for permitting and bidding purposes. If needed, we can help with the permitting process, including local town historic committees, zoning boards of appeals and boards of health.
This service includes the placement of a project on its site. We also work with Surveyors and Engineers to determine the appropriate placement of septic systems, driveways, utility connections, retaining walls and other site related items. We visit the site to get a feeling for the aforementioned items.
Depending on the size and complexity of your project, some or all of these services will be useful, and in some cases, required. Please don't hesitate to contact us to learn more about which of these services your project would need or simply benefit from. Perhaps self-explanatory, we prepare architectural drawings showing the construction work to be done.
While putting a project out to bid may seem simple and straightforward, there is more to this than most people realize. First there is the "legwork" (well, actually, we usually drive instead of doing that much walking) of distributing plans & specifications to prospective contractors. Then we spend time reviewing the contractors' qualifications as well as reviewing their bid proposals.
This is, of course, the last phase of a renovation or new construction project. For just about everyone, this is the best part - it is where you (and we) - get to see the results of all our hard work. One of the most important services we offer, we will oversee the construction of your project. We visit the project site periodically to review the construction progress and ensure conformance to plans and specifications.
