G.L. Wilson Building Company, founded in 1945, is a design/build general contractor headquartered in Statesville, NC. We work in the Southeastern United States, primarily in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Involving G.L. Thomas L. Wilson, Sr. (Tom) joined his father at G.L. Wilson Building Company in 1960, although his career was interrupted soon after by the U.S. Army calling him to active duty. When he returned, he and his brothers grew the business to include completed projects in twenty-six states. Tom graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering with a Construction Option.

An IRS determination letter for the agency's tax-exempt status should be included as well. The Wilson Foundation is a private charitable foundation chartered in North Carolina. The Foundation has received a determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service for tax exemption under section 501C (3).
Today's plans and specifications are posted online in our Plan Room. Our project managers send invitations to bid to our qualified subcontractors that include a link to the online files. Subcontractors view and print only the files that they need. You do not need to register to view our current project listing that is scheduled for bid.
