Frontier Courier
Reliable Transfer Corp. is pleased to offer commercial courier services to the Juneau business community. We have three drivers covering the Juneau road system, and one of them is never far away. We believe that we can offer your business an increase in efficiency compared to the cost of your employees having to undertake these trips themselves.

As the weather changes from rain to snow, we are already underway and ready to serve. Please give Reliable Courier Service a call at 789.1490 for information about our services or to request a competitive quote. Our door to door service includes cloth blanketing for all furniture items, and we offer a large selection of moving cartons for sale.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a walk-thru, please don't hesitate to give us a call about our residential and commercial moving services. Whether you're moving across the state, the country, or the world, we are here to help you through your moving process. We offer both full service and partial-pack service, and all moves include packing materials.
Services
In 1914, during the heyday of Juneau's gold mining era, Art McKinnon opened a transfer business. Starting out with nothing but a wagon and two horses, he called it Reliable Transfer. The company began at 346 Franklin Street, moved to 141 S. Franklin in 1930 and finally to 200 N. Franklin in 1950.
We know that local moves can be exciting and also unsettling, but with Reliable Transfer by your side there is nothing to it! We would like to help you understand the way your local moving charges are determined. We want nothing more than to help you get an accurate estimate so there won't be any surprises come the day of your move.
Assess which household items you would like to save and which ones you'd like to keep (consider a garage sale). Give your physicians and dentists a call; they may have colleagues located in your new location. Get copies of renewable prescriptions. Tell the post office and obtain change of address forms.
If you are taking electrical goods such as a stereo, see if you still have their original boxes. Round up personal documentation - marriage/birth certificates, driving licenses and so on. Shops, schools, theaters, life styles - it's never too early to find out about your new home. Arrange your finances - close or transfer bank accounts, savings accounts and so on, if necessary.
Defrosted the refrigerator/freezer? Planned simple meals for moving day to avoid using appliances? Separated luggage items you need for personal travel? Cleaned garden tools, bicycles and any other gardening equipment? Emptied the tanks of powered tools such as mowers? Checked you have enough medication for at least two weeks, and ensure you have copies of any necessary prescriptions for use at destination?
