We wanted to share our wonderful experience with the Advantage Development Custom Home team; this is the fourth home we have built and by far, was our best experience. Our story started with a quick sale of our Lincoln home and an introduction to Alan and Mandi - within 2 days, we had the floorplan and details complete.
A graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Alan Hans has been building homes in Omaha and the surrounding area since 1999. He is enthusiastic about being easily accessible, developing personal relationships with clients, and providing a great home-building experience. If I could give zero, it would definitely be zero. I have plenty of pictures showing the poor quality from the wood floors, bathroom tile both floor and shower, to the brick falling off the house or the settling in the back that caused the pool company more money because the builder refused to come look or fix it. That doesn't even begin to touch the problems that were reported that builder refused to fix or fixed partially and then never showed back up, things we paid extra for that do not work, such as electrical and gas work. We paid extra for an outlet in the soffit for Christmas lights and

Built with them in 2017. Waited to write a review because I wasn't sure I wanted to.
I get that building a house is a complicated process, and that the developer isn't directly responsible for the quality of the sub contractors work. At the end of the day we are happy with the lot, happy with the house. A lot went right, but quite a bit went wrong.
At the beginning of the process, they were very helpful and extremely nice to work with. Loved the design they came up with. We had a few things that got a little frustrating during the process - specifically plumbing where we were told we could do

Ed and I are coming up on our 4th anniversary of completing our house in Shadow Lake. We so love and enjoy every day in the home that Alan and his Advantage crew built for us. They made the planning, selection and building of our home a truly enjoyable experience.
