Building in a coastal environment requires different materials and installations than building in a dry climate. The weather here can be brutal on building exteriors. The combination of rain and high wind can force water to go up the side of the building and enter through small openings, causing moisture problems later.
I've been a contractor for almost forty years and have seen a lot of construction problems caused by water intrusion into buildings, but I was shocked by the amount of damage that water caused to this house in Bandon. We are not capable of perfection and can only promise you: quality materials, competent employees, experienced sub-contractors, accurate scheduling and responsible business practices.
