I'm not great in pressure situations, and the people at Hampden Trading were super patient, kind, and not pushy at all. It was a relief to work with people who care about the customer and not the sale. I got a 2009 Subaru Forester and they did a lot of the legwork to help make it go smoothly. They don't negotiate prices but we're very upfront about it. Dress light, the office is 1,000 degrees :) thanks guys!

EDIT: Update --
I had to knock down some stars after I had the car for 7 months. I did my oil change this weekend and found the oil pan is stripped. Knowing that these are the people touched the car last now I have to deal with a stripped oil pan and can't use the car for a while. Sad such a simple job can ruin a car.

In fact, I sent my stepdaughter there, and she is buying a pristine Forester at the time of this writing.
They are tucked away at the end of a dead end street, and yet the cars fly off the lot.
No drive by shoppers, just simply word of mouth and a website.
Nice cars and nice people selling them.
Yeah, I'd buy from them again.

First time buyer of a vehicle, used 2010 Mazda 3 iTouring with 106k miles. At first glance, car looked and drove great. I bought the car, little did I know this would be a great first learning experience as why NOT to buy from a used car dealership. The first problem that popped up was rattling noises and such, and within two days of receiving the car, September 8th, my AT light came on. My husband and I purchased a 2005 Subaru Forester LL Bean edition from them about a year and a half ago. We should've known the moment we took it on a test drive (after coming all the way from NY to see this car). The AC didn't work despite the extensive "work" that was done on it. I recently bought a Nissan Juke with this dealership. I originally went to test drive some Subarus they had been advertising on Car Gurus, but I found I didn't care for Subaru. I asked what else they had on the lot that had the features I was looking for and the salesman quickly recommended the Nissan Juke.

Worked with Dave. He was very patient and easy to talk to. I ended up buying an older Pathfinder at a very fair price. They took care of a couple issues it had without hesitation. Recently I bought a MINI Cooper in this dealer and I met the sales rep called Rusty. He is a very nice person and never push me for a quick decision of buying the car. He gave me enough time to test drive this car and to make careful consideration. This is a very pleasant and relaxed purchase experience. After I decided to buy it, I told Rusty that I found there are some noises when applying brake and it may need to take further check. Rusty said that he will do the mechanical check for me with no charge and gave me a 30-day warranty. The customer service here is very good and I recommend this

My husband & I bought a 2005 Audi A6 from Hampden Trading Company in June 2014. We've had the car for approx 15 mo and haven't had any problems with it. Dave & Mike were great - they provided the CarFax free of charge, arranged the financing, and made the few minor repairs that were needed before we took the car home. We're very happy with the service we received and the condition of the car (it had a single owner before we purchased it). We'll definitely check out Hampden TC again when it's time to buy another auto!

Early in the spring, I bought a used Subaru for my daughter through Hampden Trading Company. The location was out of the way and I was initially hesitant to go that far, but they had a car that met my daughter's requirements (all wheel drive, basic sedan) and mine (highly dependable, reasonably priced). Ditto.."Buyer Beware". Bought a 2009 Subaru Outback that was having an intermittent error code issue. The owner Dave vowed to fix it even if it went out of warranty. A few months later the clutch went and was brought to Hampden for service (my cost). After botching the repair (ended up having it towed back the next day after pick-up when the clutch leaked its contents onto the driveway) and botching it again (retuned again two more times to fix the leak from the clutch) I mentioned to Dave that the error code was constant now that he vowed to honor the repair of. But amnesia had set in

I bought my first used car here (Subaru Outback) and Dave and the owner were extremely helpful.
