I have been climbing for as long as I can remember. I am a life time resident of the Pike County area. As the owner of Sequoia Tree Service, I will personally be involved with you from the estimate until the job is completed. I am a ISA certified arborist. For more then eight years, I have been contracted to care for the trees at Pinchot Grey Towers, Milford PA and the National Park Service.

You can find tree service companies anywhere, but none of them can offer what we do. We are ISA certified and we provide various forms of tree surgery, from close quarter removal, to "Class A" pruning. Sequoia also provides stump grinding, stump removal, tree fertilizing, soil management and pest control.
When this happens we can use a high pressure air tool (called an air spade) to safely loosen the soil to improve aeration, without any negative effect on the root system. This can have a noticeable effect on a trees performance and the results can be seen in one or two seasons. Primarily due to "over mulching", a trees base or root collar can become buried.

I needed about 15 trees removed from my property in the Poconos. Fran came out to give me an estimate (his was the third estimate I had gotten). His prices were competitive and his service/crew were hands down amazing. The crew arrived on time to complete the project. It was an all day project (with a torrential downpour in the middle). The guys were amazing. They are like a well-oiled machine. Fran gives a signal, someone reacts. One guy is collecting debris. One guy is up in the air on a zip line. Great crew, from young guys learning to experienced workers who clearly know their stuff and like their work and the landscapes they work in. Fran took a long walk around our place and listened to our ideas, then added his knowledge, but not to dictate; just to make our vision the best for the land and for us. What a great experience
I called around for estimates on some dead trees removed
The owner come out and while he was here I asked him abouts other trees he was very helpful and respectful he explained to me witch trees should come down and witch just needed pruning
He probably saved me alot of time and move as there was a tree over the house that look good but was rotted inside the other service where not has helpful or informative I think the price for that amount of work was very reasonable
They showed up on time and all the worker where polite and respectful

I will tell you the story and you rate yourself; I got the name of the company from Electric company. Electric company suggests a tree company they come and give you estimate and get their money from electric company and you pay monthly with the electric bill. It is great so far. Last year I asked and this company came and give me the estimate of $3000 for ten trees. Pandemic and other reasons I could not hire them. This year wanted to start again and Met-Ed suggested the same company. Same person came and give me $5000 this time. because of the payment arrangements I had to say yes. Initial agreement

Probably the most professional crew I’ve ever hired. Fran and his men removed 30+ dead trees from around my house without a single branch falling in the wrong spot. Everyone on the crew knew their part, knew the plan and got it done immaculately. Could not be happier!!

Their estimate was priced compatible to other local companies, but we chose to go with them based on their quick responses and availability to schedule me in a matter of weeks, not months. They showed up when they said they would, they were very nice and they did a great job with some challenging trees. They also cleaned up when they were done even though I told them It wasn't necessary. Highly recommend if you want the professionalism.

I will not use again very over price small tree take short time made a real job out of it I was told by blue ridge tree they are extremely expensive blue ridge said 300$-600$ 3 men fast I said I called someone else they said you will see big bill 1,200$ I will get legal help for this it is crazy merry Xmas be careful who you get! Go with blue ridge
