If you own a pool or want to put one in, you'll need to find a filter. There are three main pool filters options to choose from. The one you choose will depend on your personal preferences.

It can also vary by your location. A basic guideline for choosing the right pool filter is to go with a large one. One of the most important considerations you should make is how big the filter is. If you have the money to pay for a filter with a great capacity, it should be a better investment! Of course, you still have to decide which type of filter to get.

The three main pool filters types include DE (Diatomaceous Earth) filters, cartridge filters, and sand filters. DE filters are a great choice if you're looking for an efficient filter. These need to be backwashed every month or two. Plus, you will have to keep up with yearly maintenance.

Barefoot Pools did an outstanding job. identifying a d repairing a leak in my salt water hot tub. Before learning about Barefoot Pools I tried several companies including the company who built the hot tub. No one would touch the job. The common concern was the pipes were enclosed in the gunite and woyld be very difficult to get to and repair they all said we wont do the job. Barefoot Pools specifically their tech Cameron came and said yes this is tricky but i can do it. He did it has been 4 weeks I haven't had to add a drop of water. They advertise that they can make a green pool blue on there flyer and website. When I spoke to them they told me to call them back if the pool isn’t clear and they would come back. Today they told me there would be another $175 to come back, that was not told to me on Friday when I booked them, I am on social security and don’t have the money to just give away I will share my experience with anyone who will listen.

The most awful attitude and disrespect with complete lack of ability. I have been ripped off and tried numerous time to speak to the owner. On my 8th try I spoke to the owners son and he told me its unprofessional for him to come to my home to hear the noise of a pump that causes everyone that experiences the noise when they come to my 6000 foot house on a canal in palm beach county. NO amount of nice, or explanation could get a modicum of intelligence from this aweful operation.

Excellent Company to deal with from the Owner Jose to Chad in Sales to Shawn our Project Manager and Jeff our Inspector. Always on-time and did what they said they would do. My wife and I couldn’t be happier. They installed new travertine, added a Baja Shelf, new pebbletec and water tile. We even got our Ledge Lounger Chairs and Table from them as they had the best price.
If you are thinking about having your pool remodeled look no further than Barefoot Pools I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Barefoot did our pool remodel + landscape. They let us know what was going to happen every step of the way -- never left us wondering and waiting like some contractors do. Trust that Eric and Barefoot will do good by you.

These guys resurfaced our pool back in June 2020. Eric had great communication throughout the process and was great to work with. Our pool came out beautifully done and we couldn't have been happier with the final result!

Unfortunately 5 months after the project was completed, the pool surface appearance had lots of streaking, dark spots and a large area darker than the rest of the pool.

Eric and crew came and inspected the pool and worked side by side with manufacturers to diagnose and treat the surface imperfections.

I would caution anyone considering to have remodeling work done by Barefoot Pools to reconsider. I received a quote for work from Barefoot Pools to resurface my pool and after construction began was told the cost to complete the job would cost approximately 40% more. I then reached out to two other licensed contractors. Both contractors told me it was not necessary to perform the work Barefoot Pools said was needed to complete the job. I have since cancelled the contract and will not do business with Barefoot Pools in the future.

TheBsrefoot Pool guys were cooperative from start to finish, patiently answering all my questions, and helping make design decisions. I am at a loss for words with this company. I hired Barefoot about 2 months ago to service my pool. The first 2 weeks included the pool tech peeing in the backyard. Which does not bother me at all, but he did so right in front of the security camera, which simultaneously alerted my wife to his presence, who opened the app just in time to see the act. Fortunately she laughed it off and I called Barefoot to ask their tech to be aware of the camera. The next couple weeks involved either inconsistent service or no service at all. I've used Barefoot for two large jobs this summer to help get my aging pool back into fighting shape. I can't recommend them enough for how quickly they respond, show up when they say they will and go above and beyond for the services provided. Alex and Juan did a fantastic job on my most recent project and their professionalism and cheery demeanor, on what was a hot and miserable day, was greatly appreciated. This company took advantage of me twice. I live out of state and came in for a quick visit. The pool was filthy with dark green algae so thick, I couldn't see the bottom of the pool. It took so many days to clear up the algae, we were not able to use the pool. They knew I didn't live there and never bothered cleaning the pool - but of course they charged me every month. Recently, I had a leak in my pool and was told by Barefoot Pools staff that I had to wait for the pool to heat up to 85 degrees in order for the adhesive to bond properly. I have had pool service with this company for 5 months. The first older gentleman who was servicing the pool was very diligent and did a great job. For some reason they replaced him. A new guy took over and I had been suspecting that he was doing nothing. I wasn't around to watch until today. We had neighbors put extra chlorine in the pool in preparation for Hurricane Matthew. The guys at Barefoot did a beautiful job on my 20+ year old pool. They took it all the way to bare concrete and fixed some big cracks, installed new jets and added a handrail for my 86 yr old Mother.
The tile choice was perfect and they also added tile to the edge of each step.

Unless you like inconsistent service and horrible customer service - go find another pool service provider. Last year, they forgot to communicate to a new guy that he had to do our pool and detached spa. Mind you, they charged me the increased rate all along. We didn't notice for months since we weren't using the hot tub over the summer. We discovered it a few hours before having a party. They didn't come take care of it for days and didn't refund any of the extra charge for the months it was not cleaned. The latest - we went on a weekend cruise. They usually come very early

I used these guys when I first moved in and was having issues with an old pool pump and filter. I think for what was done the price was reasonable and done all right. Just don't expect much help on any follow up issues.
