We had a tech come out as a scheduled service visit. Shortly after taking a look at everything he tells us that our heat exchanger is cracked and could be harmful due to the threat of the potential of it leaking carbon monoxide. He then tells us that he can't legally leave our furnace on which we could understand. He offers to send out his sales guy to give us options for a new furnace. The salesman arrives within the hour with some replacement options ranging in price from $6500 to almost $8000. We then decide to get another quote from a referral whom we contacted shortly after being given the

We have come to rely on Cardinal as our first choice, go to company, for all our plumbing, electrical and HVAC needs. After several years of trying various companies, including Cardinal, they have come out on top of almost every category including but not limited to professionalism, accuracy of diagnosis, quality parts, and repairing correctly the first time. We really appreciate that the techs are trained, certified and professional in their appearance and COVID safe (masks, shoe covers). I am confident you won't find a better value.

We appreciate the customer service. The office is very responsive and the field technicians are very friendly. We have an older home and needed to have several faucets, toilets and plumbing issues taken care of this year. Matt has always answered our questions and is very personable.

From the second I called Cardinal to book am appointment to have my water heater looked at until Kevin left after replacing the water heater and installing a water softener, every interaction and discussion was absolutely incredible in terms of their professionalism and customer service.

Kevin from Cardinal replaced our broken tub/shower water control. He had to add 2 stop valves which we didn’t have and needed to replace the piping adjacent to the water control hub and remount it to fit the existing holes. I’m very handy but wouldn’t attempt this myself.
Total cost was $600, just what was quoted, even though it took an hour more than anticipated. Done beautifully, no leaks, nice looking pipe sweating. I didn’t smell anything, he worked quietly and was very communicative before and after the job. I highly recommend Cardinal and ask for Kevin, he’s a pro!

Very communicative and professional company! We called for our first furnace tune-up and are grateful for how thoroughly the technician inspected our system. He clearly explained what was going on and answered the many questions I had with as much detail is possible. He even helped us fix an unknown issue and get set up with next steps for some other HVAC concerns we asked about, which saved us time and energy. As new homeowners of an older home, it was a breath of fresh air to work with a company and technician who was so helpful and direct! Thank you, Hunter and Cardinal!

We have several rental properties throughout the Madison area and we need contractors that we can rely on to show up and do the repairs quickly, efficiently and are cost effective. Cardinal Heating & Air Conditioning has proven their selves time and time again. They are extremely reliable, courteous to both myself in getting the appointments scheduled and our tenants during the appointment and their pricing for repairs is very reasonable. We have tried several other heating and plumbing contractors throughout the years and have had some really poor results, but with Cardinal we have no complaints
