We have been asked many times if a homeowner can refinish a bathtub or shower, or repair a chipped sink themselves. The reason that the question is asked is that most people know that the major home improvement stores sell kits that will allow you to do those things yourself. And as we all know everyone wants to save money on their home improvements.
Affordable Porcelain provides expert fiberglass repair in both fiberglass tubs and stall showers. Over the years we have repaired more than a thousand units in both homes and apartments. Those repairs ranged from the repair of small cracks to complete rebuilding and reinforcing of tub bottoms and shower floors.
If you have a chipped a porcelain sink or bathtub you don't have to endure the unsightly damage or replace the entire fixture. In most cases we can repair the chip in such a manner that you will have difficulty seeing the repaired area after the repair is made. Cleaning your refinished unit should be done with a non-abrasive liquid or spray cleaner applied with a sponge or soft cloth. Do not use any dry powdered cleansers or Soft Scrub! Use of these products will scratch the finish and over time will wear the finish off. Use of these types of products will Void Any Warranty!

I hired Mark to refinish my tub. After he started his work he noticed that my tub was beyond repair and that the previous owners covered up damage with pool paint. He let me know about that and told me that I really needed to get the tub replaced. He also provided the name and phone number of a contractor he knew to get an estimate to replace the tub. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he didn't refinish my tub when it wasn't the best solution for me.
