We know what it takes to move boulders, manage erosion, and create a solid foundation in and near the Rocky Mountains. We have been providing quality services with an extremely quick turn around for homeowners, contractors, and developers for over 40 years. We are locally owned and operated and have the experience and equipment necessary to fulfill any job.
We installed 29,000 feet of conduit underground for power and systems. There were many scheduling issues with other trades and weather that delayed and changed the flow of the job. Chris was always able to work with us to make sure that we were always done with our work ahead of schedule and with the best quality out there. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy.

Services
Whether you need to create a new driveway or fix an existing one, we have the experience needed to understand your country driveway needs. Driveways are the most cost-effective driveways for country-living. However, over time, your gravel drive will inevitably develop potholes. Winter leaves all that pretty snow on your drive, but if you use a snow plow, you can expect your gravel driveway to be unrecognizable after the snow melts.
Retaining walls minimize erosion by decreasing the angle of a slope and holding back soil. Living in the Rocky Mountains and along the Front Range, we need to consider erosion control when designing and maintaining our property. Your need might be to add beauty to your landscape, to protect the soil from erosion, to level any uneven ground near your home, or to create an enclosure to your garden.
Trenches, usually deeper than they are wide, play a big part in the construction and maintenance of homes. Trenches are used to place utilities underground, install lawn sprinklers or devise a drainage system on your property. Trenches to install utilities such as electricity, gas, water, sewer, and cable are underground to provide for drainage and form the footing for your home's foundation.
Tearing down a structure can be a complex task that requires a special set of skills. If you're looking for a local contractor who's up to the task, choose Bob Ames Excavating. We have over 40 years of experience, and we have all the equipment necessary to complete your demolition job with ease. Our skilled team can demolish structures up to two stories above the ground, including homes and garages.
We have been excavating for commercial pool contractors for over 40 years in the Rocky Mountains. The typical obstacles like rocks and boulders don't slow us down. We have the experience and machinery to excavate anywhere along the Front Range. Excavation typically is completed within one day, or two if the layout is more complex.

Chris came out and did an amazing job on my new driveway and backyard. We needed a second driveway for recreational vehicles leading into the backyard and the backyard graded for sod. He was extremely quick but took the time to check in and make sure I was happy along the way. He finished the same morning and we are extremely happy with the outcome. I would recommend Chris for any job, big or small. He's friendly, professional, and he really cares about the project's end result.

Contacted Bob Ames Excavating for a quick turn around on excavating a utility trench. Called late Wednesday afternoon and they were out at 7am Thursday morning to give me an estimate. We scheduled the excavation for the following Monday. The excavation was completed before noon that Monday.
I am very satisfied with this contractor. The operator was very professional and friendly and made sure the work was completed to my expectations. Professional service completed to the desired specifications quicker than expected is rare in construction contractors. Bob Ames Excavating sets the bar for 'best
