Services
From humble beginnings in 1973, salvaging equipment and paving driveways by hand, King Asphalt set out to become one of the most well-respected asphalt organizations in South Carolina. Today, almost 44 years later, King Asphalt consists of manufacturing facilities in Liberty, Simpsonville, and our newest facility in Pacolet, S.C.
From Left to Right: Brian Budzynski, Doug Limbaugh, Michael Crenshaw, Brian Crenshaw, Loyd Ames and Jack Ward.
In the case of the planned rehabilitation of 7 miles of U.S. Highway 123 in Pickens County, South Carolina, the South Carolina DOT (SCDOT) quickly acceded to a largescale change suggested by contractor King Asphalt-one that would completely reenvision both the scope of the project and the quality of the resulting rehabilitation, and earned the 2020 ROADS & BRIDGES/ARRA Recycling Award for Full-Depth Reclamation.

King Asphalt, Inc. has been proudly serving South Carolina's upstate with a full service paving company focused on safety and quality. Our facilities include two SCDOT certified field laboratories on site at our asphalt plants, as well as a SCDOT certified mix design laboratory and equipment for adequate and proper testing and inspecting on job sites.
If you are tired of dodging potholes, unable to locate a properly marked parking space, or are in need of a fresh look to your existing pavement, our experienced pavement maintenance staff will be happy to discuss your situation. Even the best asphalt pavements are subject to deterioration due to water and sunlight damage after a period of time.
At King Asphalt locations, we accept used asphalt for processing into Recycled Asphalt Product (RAP). RAP is mixed into hot and warm asphalt mix (WMA) to reduce the costs of a project and to lessen the amount of used materials ultimately disposed of in landfills. We also screen the dirt from this used asphalt and in addition, we recycle any stone into re-usable product.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Fact- Makes Veterans use part of their 40 hr a year PTO to have Memorial Day off. A disgrace to our community and our country. No respect after they give everybody Labor Day off. Like a slap in the face to those that served. They don’t even deserve one star much less a cookie for that.
