Doug Ross spent most his life in the Kansas City area and served in the Navy, where he advanced to Petty Officer, second-class. He later earned his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Upon earning his degree, Ross accepted a position as the General Manager of Metro Renovators, Inc, a company that specialized in disaster reconstruction.
Inrecon/Belfor later acquired Metro Renovators, where Doug continued in his position for five years. After leaving Metro Renovators he started his own remodeling company and produced several substantial makeover remodels in the KC area. There he directly supervised the construction of fourteen multi-million dollar homes, as well as several large commercial projects.
He left Millennium after 5-1/2 years to start Ross Custom Homes, Inc. Even with all of this activity, he still finds time to maintain an active leadership position as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, assisting over 70 young men to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
