I have waited a long time to complete this review. Please stay away from this firm. I have been working with them for 14 months it started out good but has ended horrible. I had to fight with Dale to get the package submitted before year end and when his son finally did it was sent to the wrong department Building and safety. The city charged me a fee that should have came at a later date. After the new year 2021 my project was sent out for corrections, at the same time Dale said we needed to submit to the planning department which should have been the first department. B E W A R E - The unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge for Claremont codes, many many errors on his part, does not double check work even after having mistakes pointed out by the city, etc.. My husband and I went to his home for a consultation and he seemed nice enough, presented all he would do, so we decided to hire him and paid the deposit. We paid him as we went and he's been paid in full. I was remodeling an apartment complex in the City of Ontario and decided to use Cummins Architecture. He was available next day for a walk through and had a bid ready next day! Plans were kept at the original timeline despite all the changes I kept making. I appreciate their patience! He even went with me to submit my permits to the city and checked in until the city gave me final approval. Not only would I use this company again but I am using them in another remodel! Can't say enough good things they helped me with many aspects of renovations I wasn't familiar with.

First let me clarify its $250 for Cummins to come to your house and "check out" what your planning on building. The free consultation is when you go to their office. I paid the $250. So after dealing with Dale Cummins, the owner, I can say he is an over priced full of himself architect. All I wanted was a detached garage built in my backyard. Nothing fancy but a high ceiling. When it costs $10,000 for just plans that's when I have a problem. Remember it's basically a box with a roof on it, no kitchen, no bathroom and no windows. We needed an hour consultation to get some ideas thrown around. Since we are soon to be remodeling our office space, we decided to receive professional advice on the design and spacing concepts for our new look. We got exactly what we were looking for!
