Chat Hutton was the saving grace of Wayne homes after my horrible experience with the Pittsburgh sales team. I loved his attention to detail and commitment so much that I am building a second Wayne home.

They don’t back their warranty plans. They don’t want to fix anything and we have horrible issues with the window screens not fitting tightly and bugs crawling in. They want to make they home owner take care of the issues themselves. So much for a “2 year fit and finish” warranty. This is the second Wayne Home we built and I would never recommend them to anyone. No one want to come and repair anything and make excuses for everything. Go to Schumacher or someone else but not Wayne Homes.

Terrible experience. Was given a guaranteed completion date of 7.28.19 and here it is 9.12.19 and we're still not moved in. Why give a guaranteed completion date if your not going to have the construction completed by then. The tradesman show up when they want instead of when their scheduled. Everything since day one has been nothing but a fight with these people. I would NOT recommend this business.

We had our home built just over 2 years ago. When we were designing the home we were told, we would have a follow up inspection through Wayne homes after the home is 2 years old. Well, just before the 2 year mark (February 2019) we called Wayne homes and was told they don’t do that anymore. So we asked about having someone come out regarding our drywall, we have nails coming out of the ceiling through out the house. We also wanted someone to come look at one of the toilets because it was losing water in the back of the tank. We were told they would get someone out or to contact us right away

We have since had to rip out an entire first floor of laminate for horribly creaking floors. We still have the upstairs to do. We tore all of the flooring out when we were only in the house for about 8-9 months

Thought I had a well built home until a little under 9 years and started noticing water damage at the top of the wall in my first floor master bedroom. After removing soffit, noticed that there was an extreme amount of dampness underneath the sheathing and on the insulation. Never noticed before but this section of the house has soffit/eave vents but no ridge or gable vent. No have moisture damage in wall and roof and Wayne Homes says this isn't structural and not covered under 10 year structural warranty?? They built this part of the house air-tight and it's sweating so much under there it's almost

Built with WH last year and honestly cannot for the life of me understand where these reviews are coming from. Comparing them to other homebuilders in the area is not even close! Wayne went above and beyond my expectations and was more than willing to come out and fix problems as they arose. People have unrealistic expectations I guess, but we are happy!

Paid almost $200,000 for this house and not even 5 years its falling apart . The basement wall was already fixed once where it cracked right after the build, now it's cracked again, the roof is already leaking and nails are coming out of the walls. Stephanie at Wayne homes informed me that if its not fix correctly and it keeps happening my insurance will have to pay for a job they can"t get right. How is that RIGHT? If I could mark this as no stars I would!!! Highly Disappointed with workmanship of my home!!!

Process to date was the worst experience of my life. It took four changes in field managers (five if you count the manager taking over for a brief moment) to complete the house which was not done on time. It was a sad situation because the weather and lot were ideal. I had to babysit the build. For example, two Amish boys put my cabinets in one 18 and one 13. Continuously embarrassed explaining problems away to others who visit the house. Example of process: Called to have drywall fixed on the ceiling twice, guys that came back to fix came with no tools and barrowed mine both times, still not fixed

I hardly leave bad reviews but buyer beware. We had several project managers who made false promises and several of which left unfinished work. The crew dumped waste and water on the property adjacent to us and had to settle out of court on a resolution. In addition, our grading was done incorrectly multiple times and we've given Wayne a chance to make it right by contacting them several times only to hear "it's not in our contract to make sure your grading was done correctly". They care absolutely zero about your experience once the project is finished-if you even want to call that. As I'll tell

Worked with them for over a year. Once we got to the colors meetings it was horrible. Mistake after mistake. Then i offered feedback with a survey they sent me on how to improve a process and i got a call from the VP of sales pushing me in a corner to NOT use them as a builder. All the sudden our dig date was suppose to be Aug early Sept after i sent the survey it became Oct our completion date was suppose to be Jan-Feb after the survey it became April. She kept saying "Maybe we arent the builders for u i will refund u your deposit." I felt like because i offered feedback to them i became a target

We spent more than $400k to build what was supposed to be our final home, our dream home. We had "signs" in the beginning with the sales process going wrong but we just dismissed our concerns. The build process overall was good. However, some warranty items they have been great but when it REALLY matters on other items they've been completely unreliable. Their warranty leaves you with a feeling of uncertainty. Not at all what we want or need with a home that is just over 2 years old.
They installed our $20k+ of wood floors incorrectly and they have given us the runaround for 2 years and refuse

Met with an agent at the Revanna location, spent four hours going over plans an changes, each time agent said yes we can make those changes. Several times called to get an update on the quote, six weeks later interacted with the manager sent quote over; it was the wrong house and over half the stuff was not ours. He said could not make changes.

What an awful company to work with. Once the house is built and they are done with you, they are truly done. When you choose a company to build you a home you do expect them to stand by the materials they use and also be able to help you locate them in the future if need be. Wayne Homes has not met either of those standards, and we do not recommend them to ANYONE.
