Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
Took $6500 from us (paid half, originally estimate was for $12k) and never came back. Never responded to us or anything. Just took our money and ran. Judging by some of the other reviews on here, it sounds like it was a good thing he never performed any work for us.

Do not use Aquazone! We hired Chris Burgett of Aquazone last summer and we still do not have a finished pool. We have a hole in our yard with exposed rebar and are out $100,000. He will tell you he has a crew coming out and then they will never show over and over again. He will give you excuse after excuse until months have gone by and you realize all the money you gave him is gone. He will stay in contact with you hoping he will eventually find some other homeowner to hire him and give him thousands of their hard earned money so maybe he can eventually work on your pool a little. NEVER USE THIS PERSON! If I could give Charles Christopher "Chris" Burgett and his Aquazone pools a -1,000,000,000,000. I would. All the negative reviews are spot on but honestly they were being nice. Stay away from this man and company. He has no problem looking right at you and telling u what u want to hear. Take your money and disappear. Avoid! He expects 1/3 payment when signing contract, 1/3 when they dig the hole, 1/3 if gunite is ever shot and the last 10% when it's complete. Keep in mind, when the gunite is shot, that is only about 1/2 of the completed job. His excuse book

I used Chris in 2014 and he was recommended by someone that we trusted. I should have posted years ago. I’m sitting in my kitchen looking at horrible brick work and so many repairs we are going to have to make to our pool. All compliments of Chris and Aquazone! We paid our hard earned money and now we are going to have to spend more money fixing things that should have been done right the first time. A friend suggested in 2015 that I should sue him for such a terrible job. I declined because I’m not that kind of person. Now, I wish I had taken harder action. If you met him, he makes you think

This company does not have the resources to manage your project if you want it done within 12 months. Chris will capitalize on the money he gets from you; and then when he's fired -he's still got your money; unless you want to take the time to sue him. Believe me, we thought about it. We ended up hiring real contractors to finish what he destroyed in the pool and patio surrounding - not to mention all the issues after they broke the waterlines - and they never showed back up to fix or ask about the solution. Please, do yourself a favor and do not use this company. Save yourself the hassle. Used them 10 years ago without any real issues. Recommended them to two different families. Both hated working with chris, the owner, but since I had a good experience, I used him again when I moved to a new house. It was a nightmare. Lies lies lies lies lies and more lies. After many months of lies, I fired him and fortunately found a company that was willing to finish a project that someone else started. Once the new company started working with me, we discovered that Chris failed to obtain construction permits

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Chris promised
to have our pool built in 2 months, but took him 8. He would never show up when supposed to, always had an excuse, but made sure we had a check ready for him whenever he came. Considered firing and suing him! Can’t believe he’s still in business. BEWARE!

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst experience ever. Never completed the job after a year of phone calls and patience. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but ultimately completed the job ourselves even after we’d paid him to do it. When we took over the work we found out that he hadn’t paid the cover contractor for work he’d done 8 months prior. They’re unresponsive generally, but when you do get Chris he’s full of excuses and false promises. I.e. Guy will be our Monday to do x, and guy never shows. Or in one instance, randomly shows up three months later.

Chris and Aquazone did an excellent job on our pool, hot tub, hardscaping, and landscaping. My husband added some design elements that were not part of the templates available, and Chris was able to incorporate them at a reasonable price. His crew is capable and hard working, and I appreciated their constant efforts to keep our backyard as clean as possible during construction. They made sure that every detail was completed to our satisfaction, and they continue to provide the same high level of service to maintain our pool and hot tub. We highly recommend Aquazone Pools.

As we were in the process of selecting someone to complete our outdoor space and build us a pool, we interviewed several pool builders.
