Most companies would offer you a package upfront which includes the permit and a number of sq ft of wood for replacement; yet would overcharge you for excess wood replacement. Carlos, the owner, was very thorough and transparent about the pricing. As expected, our 30+ years roof needed major wood replacement and we knew exactly how much it would cost.
During the replacement process, Carlos and his workers were responsive

We couldn't pull the trigger yet because we had to get our solar panels taken down. Carlos came out for a quote on a complete roof replacement. First off he did a great job on explaining to me exactly what needed to be done, and what materials we would be using and why he was using them. I got a few quotes and he was by far the most professional and seemed the most knowledgeable. Throughout the process he explained step by step what was going on and what had to be done.
His crew was great and super skilled at what they do. Wish I took more before pictures, because their craftsmanship was amazing. Clean up was great as well.

After meeting with a few roofing contractors, we settled with SoCal Roofing Solutions. The owner's son, Carlos, was upfront about his pricing, and what to expect throughout the entire process. His pricing was very fair, right in the middle, but like they say, you get what you pay for. His crew was very professional, thorough, and hard-working. They knocked out our roof in 3 working days, from stripping the old stuff and replacing damaged wood, to color matching the final flashing with roofing paint. I called SoCal roofing solutions after we found the old owner of the house cut into the original rafters of the roof to instill a Mickey Mouse patio cover. We were worried about how much this project would cost. When Carlos came out to do an estimate we were surprised that it wasn't going to cost as much as we anticipated. The crew came out on time at 8am and were finished by 3pm to install new rafters, shiplap, fascia boards, and shingles. They even went beyond that and help painted the shiplaps and fascia boards. SoCal Roofing Solutions replaced the wooden shakes on my parent's tudor style home that is 40 years old. The roof has many ridges and valleys and was not a simple job. However, we contacted Carlos at Socal roofing and he was very prompt and fair with the pricing. He was very informative and helpful. I rarely post reviews but my experience with Carlos and SoCal Roofing Solutions was exceptional. My parents decided to hire someone with very little experience for this project. This person didn't have a license so that was a red flag to begin with. I wasn't consulted as a resource and my parents hired this man to repair our roof. Carlos was almost always available, and the few times he was not, he always called back within a reasonable time to answer questions I left on voicemail. When you take in account the reasonable and fair pricing, the customer service, the clarity and transparency of expectations for both of us, the amazing work, and the clean professional work ethics, no one can touch them. Carlos and the Socal Roofing Solutions team did a stellar job of replacing our heavily aged roof (likely original roofing from 1970s). Got an extremely reasonable quote, went through all the details with Carlos and within a week, the roof was completed. With Southern California, rain is always a potential issue and we definitely had a leak somewhere in our original roofing. It's rained a few times since and we've had zero issues with our new roof. We love it.

Hands-down, Carlos provided us with the best contractor experience we have ever had! He was punctual, communicative, transparent, and above all courteous and professional. His crew was also efficient all the way through. They removed our old roof and installed a new one in two days! They also left our driveway and yard debris free. We were so happy with the whole experience that we relied on Carlos for recommendations on contractors for other home improvement projects, concrete work and a tree service.
