We're a military family that moved to Fairbanks a few days ago. My husband is getting deployed and I'm going to stay with my family for awhile, so we were out looking at storage options around town today. We found Castle Rock online and it looked like a clean-cut and professional place.

After visiting, we were utterly disappointed with the service and business model.
The woman who waited on us was scatter-brained and tried to tell us what we needed instead of listening to what we wanted. It made the process confusing and time consuming. When we finally started the paperwork to rent

Over time, I discovered that the staff is here is rude, dishonest, and unaccommodating. They charged me a late rent fee ($40/day) even though my rent was paid on time through auto pay. When my husband came to empty the unit, they told him that they never charged a late fee to our account. Low and behold, there were two late fees on our credit card bill from Castle Rock that month.

If you have to rent a unit here, keep a close eye on your credit card bill and auto-pay function. Wouldn't recommend.
