Valley Energy Solar specializes in residential, commercial, agricultural and public solar system installation and project management, with a strong belief in the viability and long-term potential of solar energy. Solar energy is made possible by the photovoltaic effect, a process that converts light (photons) to electricity (voltage).
First identified in 1954, this discovery led scientists to create photovoltaic (PV) cells using silicon, which capture sunlight and make solar-generated electricity possible. Solar cells were initially used to power space satellites as well as smaller items like calculators and watches. But refinements in the technology brought about individual solar PV systems used to power homes and businesses.
Utility companies also began using PV technology for large power stations. The investment tax credit (ITC), also known as the federal solar tax credit, allows you to deduct 26% of the cost of installing a solar energy system from your federal taxes. Many homeowners, businesses and non-profits go solar because they are focused on minimizing environmental issues like climate change and health problems related to carbon emissions.

Services
Valley Energy Solar specializes in residential, commercial, agricultural and public solar system installation and project management. Valley Energy Solar is a locally owned business that has served the greater NE Ohio and Western PA region for over 14 years. We are a full service solar electric and solar + storage installer company with NABCEP certified installers.
Solar has financial benefits to each individual system owner, but just as important is the part you play in the movement towards energy independence in our country. As each new solar energy system is installed, we're using more and more clean and free power from the sun to preserve our environment for years to come.
Data from the Rocky Mountain Institute says utility bills represent 30% of operating costs for the average business. Valley Energy Solar helps our customers reduce their energy expenses by making commercial solar a part of their broader energy strategy. Our goal is to maximize customer savings that can be reinvested into differentiating and growing their core business.
Labor costs, access to water, weather and market conditions all vary every year. Solar panels for farm use can offset a significant portion of overall operating costs and create greater business predictability. With the agriculture sector's incentives and access to cheap solar financing, solar is a solid business decision with a rapid payback.

We are pleased with our net tied solar panel installation. We chose Valley Energy Solar from 5 installers that we contacted. Valley was more experienced in rural installations as opposed to urban rooftop and mono pole configurations the others proposed. Our panels are located 600 feet from the house with 500 feet being heavily wooded. We contracted separately to provide the conduit from the panels to the house. The install went smoothly with Valley handling all the paperwork. We have yet to receive the full benefit of the system as our house is still under construction but based on the feedback
