Services
Young Entrepreneur Landscaping, located in Cincinnati, was founded in 2008 by Barrett Weckel. Barrett graduated with a bachelor degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from the Williams College of Business at Xavier University in an effort to widen his knowledge of business management and operations. Nathan Record, an economics and fine arts major from Centre College, became a partner at YELL in 2017.
Young Entrepreneur Landscaping LLC is constantly looking for team members who are wanting to embrace their passion in the green industry. We are a fast growing company with lots of room for internal promotion and development. Team members can expect a quality and safe professional work setting. Here at YELL we value quality employees and as a result believe that they should be given something more than just a paycheck.
After about 14 days newly laid sod should be rooted enough so that it does not move around. Never cut more than 1/3 of the blade of the turf or you risk scalping which is detrimental to its overall health. This pertains to new as well as existing grass. To ensure a healthy lawn we suggest signing up for a fertilization program and proper watering program to keep it looking the best it can.
I have used Barrett for our landscape work since he started while in high school. We are still with him today and the only thing that has changed is his ability to take on any job with a positive attitude as well as in a professional manner. It is nice to see someone who is as young and motivated as him.

Great company and crew to work with. We had a large (for us) hardscaping and landscaping project done by YE, and they did a fantastic job. Barrett worked with us to design and pick materials for a major retaining wall and driveway project. The crew were professional, respectful, hardworking, and punctual. Highly recommend!

The only reason I took a star off was due to poor communication between the owner and the crew on one occasion. Part of the job was running a drain under the sod from the downspout to the sidewalk. The crew dug the ditch halfway down the yard. When I asked, they said that’s where the owner marked it. I don’t know if they made a mistake or it was marked wrong but I’m sure glad I caught it. They were going to leave it like that. On the plus side, I was able to reach the owner, Barret easily. He assured me the job would be done right and the next day he came out himself to help and make sure

Nathan worked with me to design exactly what we wanted and had ideas that made it even better. They started earlier than planned and the crew was very hardworking, considerate and punctual. When some adjacent areas were worn down due to the extensive work, they fixed those as well. I could not recommend Y.E.L.L. more.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Barrett, his company, and his crew hit the mark on everything you want in a contractor. Great communication, fast response time, great pricing, and amazing work. The landscaping features in my yard were in extreme disrepair and I could not be more happy with the results of the rebuild. Two stone walls completely rebuilt, two block walls completely rebuilt, the entire perimeter of my patio completely rebuilt, and a full spring clean-up carried out by two guys in less than 3.5 days. I'm extremely happy with the results and will definitely look to this company again

Young Entrepreneur Landscaping was fantastic to work with from initial estimate to finish installation. Barrett and his team were responsive, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The price was fair and they accommodated a last-minute change to add an additional run of drain pipe per owner request that was much appreciated. Exceeded expectations and will definitely use again on future projects.
