Italian Trade Commission
We are seeking to educate the public about the dangers of silica dust exposure and how typical tile removal companies are not protecting their workers or the homeowners from the toxic air creating during tile demo. Now in its 22nd year, the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition - the longest running award program of its kind - is proud to announce seven outstanding projects that wholly represent the competition's goal of honoring the commendable use of Italian tile in North American architecture and design.

Once again, the Ceramics of Italy booth was transformed into Piazza Ceramica-a show-stopping, topography-inspired exhibit melding contemporary Italian design with the vibrant energy of Orlando.

Designed by e+i studio and built by A&M;, the entire 3,000 square foot space will be an inspiring display of design and craftsmanship showcasing a range of ceramic and porcelain tiles from Atlas Concorde, Ceramiche Caesar, Emilceramica, Floor Gres, Lea Ceramiche and Marazzi.Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition is an annual celebration of design and architecture, sponsored by Confindustria Ceramica and the Italian Trade Commission.

The Ceramic Tile Center of the Italian Trade Commission in New York was founded by the Istituto nazionale per il Commercio Estero (I.C.E.) in collaboration with Confindustria Ceramica, the Association of Italian Ceramics. Now in its 27th year of operation, it remains a clearinghouse of information on Italian ceramic tile as well as a major link between Italian manufacturers and the American market.
By checking the DustRam Contractor Map, consumers can see who has been trained and certified as an authorized DustRam contractor. All will have complete patented DustRam Systems with over 250+ components. A homeowner or general contractor who hires a company for quality flooring removal for health, efficiency, and overall cost value deserves to get their monies worth.
These are all good questions, but when the time comes to remove your ceramic tile, what are you doing to get rid of it? If you are living at home, or working in a business and are planning on replacing the old ceramic tile, have you ever thought about the dangers of toxic silica dust exposure caused by the removal of ceramic tile from concrete flooring?
