Me and my fiancé had such a great experience with edge homes! We struggled with other builders. Edge was honest and they kept us updated through out the way. They were on time with the time frame and upgraded stuff at no cost because of stock running out and locked In prices from the start. Every rep that worked for edge homes was kind. I moved almost an hour away from where I live now and working with edge has made it so easy. I recommend 1000%.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
We are so happy we chose EDGE! From our initial meeting with our agent, Chase Joyner( we highly recommend her) to Emily Rowley at FIRST COLONY MORTGAGE to our construction manager Javier, everyone was very professional and courteous. Our house looks amazing and we love our neighborhood. Best decision we’ve made was building with EDGE!

Edge has been fantastic to work with. We've loved their professionalism and quality every step of the way. Incredible friendly, respectful and helpful.
They also maintained our agreed-upon price even when COVID sent lumber prices to the moon.
Loved working with them, would do it again in a second, but we'll probably wait a decade or so and just enjoy their handiwork ;)

The floor plan and location of our house are great and the folks we've dealt with are all good people but buyer beware of the value for your money. The fit and finish work is sub-par. Edge Homes' sub contractors are clearly paid on quantity, not quality. And don't be fooled by the base prices. Once you add a reasonable list of "upgrades" your purchase price will easily jump 20-30%. And you'll have to add another $20-$40k for landscaping. Edge leaves their lots looking like a construction zone, not graded, with all lot work the responsibility of the homeowner, including cleaning up rocks and construction

Edge built us a beautiful and solid home! We've moved in a year ago.
We fell in love with Edge's signature design: the huge windows on the Great Room, abundance of natural light and openness of the floor plan.
Wade was our builder, and he kept the subcontractors on task, and us informed. The location (Hidden Canyon Estates) is surrounded with natural beauty, breathtaking views, trails galore, and fresh air. I wish landscaping was included.

We bought our first home from Edge homes and it was a great experience. Our sales agent was extremely helpful and helped us maximize the discounts on closing costs. Edge homes was quick and efficient. Everything (except their carpet) is excellent quality. Their design center was very professional and helpful. I will definitely buy a home through Edge in the future.

Moved into my townhome with Edge about a month ago and I LOVE it. I looked almost everywhere and felt like Edge had the best combination of price, location, quality, and all around honesty as a builder. The build time was about 6 months, but I planned on that and was able to move in with equity in my home. I would build with them again in a heartbeat.

We have not yet taken possession of the townhome we are in the process of purchasing so this will be updated further later.
Our salesperson has been top notch. She has been easy to get a hold of and helped us through the process. Past that the contractors have been dificult to get a hold of and lack updates. It took forever for a designer to reach out to us and she made several mistakes along the way which was frustrating and almost cost us thousands of dollars.
The timing of completion has fluctuated several months which has made it very difficult to plan anything. I will update this review

BEWARE OF THEIR CONTRACT!
We are relocating to Utah next year & fell in love with the Suncrest area (Draper, UT). After lots of looking, we fell in love with a lot in the Hidden Canyon Estates Community and wanted to build the Vincent floor plan.
My husband is an attorney and did a thorough review of their contract and we were shocked and disappointed at just how unfriendly it is to the buyer. We requested changes but Edge refused to even entertain our requests.
Our concerns with the contract:
-Once you take possession of the home, Edge is not responsible for any fixes - you must go through

Ok I have been in the construction business for most of my life. I have worked for a couple of builders here in Utah and I have to say that my experience with Edge homes has been awesome. From start to finish it just seemed right. Our sales agent was very professional and on par with all our questions from the very beginning. Steve Maddox jr. was our sales agent and I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home from Edge homes.
Gavin was our construction manager and was a new hire at the time with Edge homes. He held things together perfectly and keep me updated with progress on our home

We were super excited to build our first home. First I will say that I loved the options that were available and that I love our home now. They did cut so many corners, for example we replaced the light fixtures in our home right after we moved in when we took their light fixtures on there were no electric boxes which is extremely against code when we contacted edge about this they brushed it off and said it was not against code. I have had multiple home inspectors tell me how illegal this was. It makes me nervous to think about how many homes have code violations in them. There have been multiple

The short version:
If you want a new house, and you can't quite afford custom, I highly recommend Edge. But no matter who you build with, you'll get pretty frustrated if you don't keep a few things in mind: (1) You're not getting a perfect house. There will be imperfections, and the more you accept that, the happier you'll be. (2) It will take a long time to build. (3) You will have to help your contractor stay on top of things. (4) It'll cost more than you expect it to, you'll spend more than you planned, and you won't get everything you want. (5) When you do finally move in, 1-4 will all be

We looked at a LOT of builders in the area and Edge had the best combination of floor plans, price, location, and options. We were pleasantly surprised that we got most of the options we wanted without going (way) over budget. Naturally we had to compromise some things like the master bathroom in order to get the kitchen we wanted, but overall we're pretty excited. We were really hoping to get the black windows to go along with our white farmhouse exterior but they ended up being crazy expensive, that was a bummer. Nothing has happened since the design session, but we've been reassured

Let me save you some money. I spent $1000 on a real estate lawyer after going through the contract, seeing poor reviews here and other websites, and looking up Edge on BBB (they have a D-) The contract had several things that seemed fishy. SO glad I did NOT just sign blindly and got a lawyer to explain it all to me.
All the issues people are describing are due to a contract which exclusively protects the builder and gives you little to no recourse if they make a mess of your home. These complaints are major structural issues...not little stuff.
They'll tell you that this is a standard

They only care about their bottom line not keeping their word or doing quality work. I have been trying for 11 months to get them to fix major issues they said they would fix and that they admit we're not done up to their standard. Every time I have talked to their representative he admits it was poorly done and says someone will come out to fix it but it is yet to be fixed. I had other contractors quote me $9,000 to fix these issues. They also charged me for something I have in writing they said they wouldn't ($300). And then on another item their representative said he made a change

We recently moved into an Edge Home community. The sell and initial build process were excellent. When finishing details started, that's when our good experience turned sour. First, the paint job was despicable. We had paint splatter on carpets, runs that had to be completely repainted - twice, missed areas. Tape was just painted over. Next, we had a pipe leak inside the wall. The drywall was replaced, but Edge Homes refused to replace the warped baseboard. They told us painting over it was fine, but paint does not cover permanent bubbles and misshaped material from the damage. For the carpet

As the owner of an Edge home I have a lot to say to those of you looking to build with Edge. In the beginning we had petty complaints things like the lighting wasn't lined up, studs were broken, then it got to the point that lights are falling off the walls. Plumbing was not centered and the toilet is less than 8 inches away from the bathtub on one side and 24 inches away on the side that the vanity which makes it really hard to reach toilet paper. I was shorted lights I was not given the upgraded carpet pad that I was promised, the house is poorly built. I don't believe any of the

After carefully considering many builders and talking over concerns with previous customers of several of them, we settled on Edge. They're certainly not perfect, but they worked extremely well with us and we couldn't be happier with our home. Everyone I've worked with at Edge at every step of the process was professional and friendly.
