I originally checked with several instillation companies. Helios was well reviewed and the price was on the lower end. I was impressed with the tech of their proposal. Instillation was quick and professional. Done in one day. It took a couple of months but when our power bill came in at $0 it all seemed worth it. last week a micro inverter went bad, and today they came and replaced it. All in All I would use them again.

We researched several companies in SW Michigan before deciding to go with Helios. From the initial contact to the final install and follow-up they were great about answering our questions and explaining costs, energy production, net metering, and everything in between. They handled the building inspection, gave us everything we need for our tax reporting, and walked us through setting up the connections with our utility company (Consumers). We went with an Enphase system and have had it for about 5 months now and are extremely pleased. Great company, would recommend.

We contacted Helios Solar on the recommendation of a colleague and neighbor. They were exceptionally professional from the first moment we contacted them, and they walked us through the whole process of installing solar on the roof of our house. Their quote for the panels included a lot of valuable information, including the specs of all the components that would make up our solar array, which is not something we received from the other companies we requested quotes from.

I had my solar array installed ten years ago by a company that immediately went out of business. That, I guess, was one of the perils of being an early adopter.
In retrospect, it wasn’t difficult to understand why that company failed. At the time, I had been a residential building contractor for over 25 years, so I had a pretty good understanding of how projects were supposed to progress. Red flags immediately shot up when the installation crew showed up with no safety equipment to work on our steep 10/12 roof. I insisted they stop immediately and get properly outfitted before proceeding.
