The interlocking pavement is made up of clay or concrete "pavers, " which are precast bricks used in outdoor landscaping.
The advantages of flexible interlocking pavement are many, offering a nice alternative to ordinary concrete or asphalt, particularly in North Texas. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, especially east of Texas 360, the soil has high clay content, giving it an elastic quality. When the moisture content fluctuates in that soil, the clay performs poorly and causes standard concrete and asphalt to crack.

Always start with a good diagram of the area being paved, making notes on existing fences, houses or buildings and structures or other paved areas. This helps in determining the amount of supplies and stone count. We mark off the appropriate area, planning for slope and drainage direction in order to finalize the final composite diagram prior to excavation and installation of the pavers.
