Course was actually very nice and in nice shape. Greens a little bumpy and slow but very playable for all levels. But they double booked tee times and we started at 1:30 so finishing before dark should not have been a problem. First no carts available, so each one came in so another group got to go out. This was not a major concern other then we didn't tee off till after 2. Then the groups in front were very slow and we called the clubhouse to check on a course ranger but none were available to come out so the young lady said just go around the groups! We were lucky 2 groups ahead of us finished

I don’t know how I haven’t reviewed Harbor Hills yet. A+ golf. Really challenging and unique holes and it’s always, always, in great shape. We come down to central Florida every year and we always play Harbor Hills at least once. Most times we play it 3-4 times. It’s totally worth it. There aren’t many tee shots like #10 in the world.
The clubhouse also makes a wonderful clubhouse sandwich. I look forward to the course, and the food, every February.
I’ll be back in a couple months.

Sorry to say that this Brunch was not worth $57.57 for two people. That included the mandatory 17%gratuity.
The roar beef was tough, the. Veggies were over cooked. As for the shrimp with cut up peppers, onions and thinly sliced sausage, they were overcooked. The breakfast was okay. Nothing to write home about. I’ve had much better at a brunch on a military base.
I guess times are tough and restaurants have to do what it takes to survive. This was advertised in the Villages Daily Sun and still they had a very small turn out.😞

Few weeks back I decide to have A drink in the club and Shawn the Manager is probably the most impolite and discourteous person I have ever met in That entire Country Club ( or club, restaurant etc).
Response/ Shawn was passing the bar and very rudely approached us with a tone of voice of annoyance and yet at the same time very aggressive "who are you" ? "and what are you doing here"? The correct response would be "what can I do for you" and "welcome to our club.” This is called having the correct etiquette.

Played there 1/31/2021 - Late getting off - Course did not have enough carts. As we are waiting to tee off, asked the starter how the course was...He said it was in great shape.. I'll give him "good" shape for the tees and fairways....but the greens were horrible. Pitted with little weeds growing on some of them. 10th green was basically dirt..yeah great shape..always like the layout. We had heard it was in good shape per some of the reviews on here...must have been the staff or somebody that got a freebee!!! Won't be back!!!! You can have your $35 coupon for February.....

Harbor Hills is always a place I enjoy to play. If you haven't played it, why not, you should!!! The layout is like no other, different doglegs and evaluation changes hole after hole.
Today we were surprised to see the practice green was punched with holes(should have asked before I booked). I went in to tell Bob, who was working the pro shop, how much of a disappointment this was. He genuinely knew the frustration I felt. Gave me a nice pass for a discounted round next time!
Like always I was treated with first class service!
And just so you know...the greens with the added sand top dressing

We played Harbor Hills on the 28th. Absolutely wonderful. We played a full 18 which I am usually a 9 holer golfer and had a great round. Will come back whenever possible The course was in good shape the greens a little tough.
The only downfall was I left my driver head cover in the cart and called back less then 24 hours and they did not have. It was gone apparently. It was a good Taylor Made leather like cover and it disappeared within less then a day. Someone had to clean the cart I would think after we used it. What would of happened to it?

I would consider Harbor Hills better than average. It's not stuffy but it's got a Touch of Class to it as the homes are unique and offer a fair amount of space around each home. Sidewalks are pretty much everywhere and the country club is pretty nice. No one Community is perfect but I would say Harbor Hills is by far one of the best communities in the area. As far as value goes, I believe they offer some of the best values in Custom Homes as well.
