Services
In 1954, the late Willard (Bill) Bishop, along with his brother, Robert, began as Bishop Brothers Logging in Kulpsville, PA. A few years later the business expanded to include a sawmill which produced hardwood lumber for local industries and the surrounding farm community. In 1970, the partnership between Willard & Robert was dissolved.
Mulch comes from various sources, and not all mulch is the same. While other companies may use recycled items or ground leftovers, Bishop's mulch comes from sawmills or land clearing operations, rather than recycled products. This keeps them free from by-products which aren't always the best for your yard.

Back in early May, we needed to rent a U-Haul truck to help my sister move back in our house. We then found Bishops and we were very satisfied! It is a nice store they have, the employees were helpful and the prices were great for the rental! Returning the U-Haul truck was easy too! The entire transaction went smoothly and I know I'll be back to see what other services and products they have, as I live 2 minutes away.

I am working on a console table project for my living room & after spending about 40 minutes inside Lowe's trying to pick out a few good 2 x 4s and having awful luck we decided we needed to go elsewhere. Went to Bishop's & within about 5 minutes we not only realized the quality of wood was a million times better, the service & eagerness of the employee (I believe his name was Mike) to help us, was WONDERFUL! I recently purchased a pergola from Bishops. They were very helpful and walked me through the process of making sure I purchased the correct model. Mike went out of his way to assist me with dimensions and additional information required prior to my purchase. After receipt of the pergola their installers came to my home to assemble the pergola. The installers were very courteous and respectful of my property which was greatly appreciated by both my wife and me. I highly recommend Bishops for any products you may be looking to purchase. We had a split rail fence and a two tiered deck installed by Bishops. From the first meeting to discuss options to the final day of install working with them was a pleasure. Ed, Mike and the rest of the crew took great care of showing us different options and giving us their recommendations for what would work for our lifestyle and our budget.
