Although the business is new, it is owned by principals that own and operate Nodak Electric, Inc. Which is a very well established Alaska electrical contracting and construction firm. As Nodak Electric president, Matt Rehak has had contact with renewable energy products as a licensed, bonded, and insured installation company.

We had a great experience working with Alaska Solar. They were incredibly responsive both with original quote and getting the panels installed. They were friendly and walked us through each step of the way. We love our solar panels, and are enjoying making a surplus of energy this summer.

Because our roof surfaces were poorly oriented for optimal production, we had AK Solar Power do a ground mount. the extra cost of the installation has been justified by power production that exceeded estimates. We are really pleased with the quality of the equipment and installation as well as the customer service. We strongly recommend AK Solar Power to anyone thinking of adding this sort of system

Plus they had the best price with equivalent or better hardware (out of three bids), so a great value as well. I also have the confidence that they will be around if any issues pop up in the next few years, unlikely but nice to have the peace of mind.

I would encourage everyone to go solar with Alaska Solar. Alternative energy is the future. Solar panels continue to improve and get more efficient.
My whole experience with Alaska Solar was positive. The initial meeting, installation and follow up was all first class. When the placement of the panels on my roof were slightly blocked by one of my trees they added 2 more panels at no cost to me.
My last three electric bills have been negative. That's a great feeling!

Alaska solar installation was the neatest things we did last year. The staff was the best from start of project to the end…what wonderful people to deal with! Everything went perfectly smoothly..on time on budget and perfectly carried out. We were so happy to pull the switch on watch the miracle happen: no more power bills for the whole summer. Not sure if it ever makes perfect financial sense but if you have money in bank making no interest invest it in the planet.

Everything from the initial assessment, to installation to going putting the system in service was done in a very professional manner.
