At CDB Home Interior Design I believe that everyone deserves good design. I work personally with each client from start to finish. I've been asked what type of design I do. My answer is that I'm influenced by many things and trained in many styles. I can do traditional, transitional, simply modern, or elegant classical.
I'm inspired by nature, architecture, light, travel, movies and fashion. I also love antiques and enjoy mixing old and new together for a totally unique and personal home. I love having relationships with people who trust me and let me tell their story through my craft as an interior designer. After three years of living in a new construction I needed some advice on how to pull things together in our main living space.
Courtenay Becker to the rescue! Within two hours, Courtenay assessed our family's needs and helped me come up with an action plan to achieve the look we desired. I am thrilled with her suggestions on everything from rug selection, to dining table style to paint colors.

Services
Following successful careers in the performing arts - as a dancer, ballet school owner, and cabaret singer - I trained at the New York School of Interior Design. After completing my studies I worked for Harry Schnaper, Inc., one of New York's leading Interior Design firms, and a member of the Architectural Digest 100.
Every collaboration starts with a design consultation, whether it's a one-time meeting, or the first step of a full-service design project. We'll discover your goals, tastes, design needs, scope of work, budget and timeline. After this meeting we can provide a project scope, list of recommendations, action plan and timeline estimate.
Courtenay was recommended by our builders who advised that she is "very easy to work with and has great taste". Two years later we can attest that is true. Courtenay has helped to design and decorate our new kitchen and MasterBath and helped to decorate the rest of the house including the living room, dining room and four bedrooms.

Courtenay is amazing! She approached my project with the utmost professionalism and went above and beyond to make a room that was dark and dreary into a bright, airy and beautiful space that we enjoy tremendously. Courtenay worked within my budget, my timeframe and my work schedule and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I truly believe that hiring Courtenay saved me from many costly mistakes. I would hire again in a heartbeat.

Courtenay is the best interior designer! She is smart, creative, talented and an absolute joy to work with on projects large and small. Often times outstanding interior designers lack organizational and business skills. Courtenay does it all at an extremely high level. Everything moves along quickly and smoothly from initial design to ordering and delivery. If there is a problem with a product or a vendor Courtenay will work tirelessly until the issue is resolved. She has transformed my new house into a beautiful home!
