'Really wanted to do business with this company - their products look well engineered, they manufacture in the US, and have been around for years.
But their website is confusing. The product I was interested in had only partial information and was not listed on their price list. It looked like it was being discontinued. Their chat representative didn't know the products, kept sending links to the wrong ones, then abruptly closed the chat.
This hasn't inspired enough confidence for me to want to invest a couple of thousand dollars in their products. Then seeing lost of old

Great experience with SunMaxx. We needed a large non-pressure buffer tank for a large solar space heating system we were doing on our home. The sales and support people were easy to speak with and well-informed on the product. They were unsure on a couple of questions I had about technical specifications, but they got together with one of the engineers and got back to me with the answers that same day. The tank arrived pretty quickly (freight shipment takes some time in my experience), was well packaged, in pristine condition - and hooking it up went smoother than i had hoped. Will definitely use

At first I was skeptical about solar but I guess when your averaging an electrical bill of $350 a month you will try to understand the value, I didn't at first.But when Sunmaxx Solar came out and went over all of the money I was wasting and how much id be saving by switching over, it was the best thing ever! I highly recommend Sunmaxx Solar, Very Professional.

The initial good news about this product Thermopower VHP 30 kit is how easy it is to install and setup. I did a roof mount on my carport and had plenty of wire to mount the controller at ground level. This Sunmaxx Solar kit is hands down worth the price . Sunmaxx Solar will get more of my business in the future.

On 4/21/15 the solar controller/relay on our EXISTING SunMaxx Solar Hot Water System was damaged due to a power surge. I contacted SunMaxx (Silicon Solar) to inquire about purchasing a replacement. I was not asking for a warranty replacement. I was sent a quote for $500 for engineering services and it was explained to me that they needed to have an engineer review the details of my system in order to recommend a replacement, since my system was 5 years old. I have used SunMaxx to source solar thermal components and systems about ten times now. I have continued to go back to them because there products are great, however every order I have place has been a customer service nightmare! I have yet to pay the quoted price for a system as they always find a way to charge me more. In two orders I only received part of my order within the delivery time provided and had to wait for over two months for additional product to complete my project. I purchased a SunMaxx Solar water heater in the begining of March of 2013, intended for an off-grid installation I would be moving to in mid April. From the very begining I had nothing but issues with my order, that proceeded to escalate, and continue through present day.
