I contacted Chris at D'arta painting company to get a bid on a stain job. He touched base with me in a timely manner and set up a time for a walk through and estimate. I got estimates from 3 different companies and all were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I choose Chris because of his communication and expertise with log homes.

Wonderful people who did a wonderful job. Chris and his crew were polite, great a communication and our interior paint looks amazing. They did great on set up and clean up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using D'arata. Their estimate was a little higher than other estimates we received but the quality of their work justified any additional cost.

Chris D'Arata and his team are professional and deliver the highest quality. My wife and i just purchased a home in Grass Valley last fall and it really hadn't been cared for properly. Chris gave a professional assessment and advised what to do to not only preserve the exterior but also to make the most of our property. The result is absolutely amazing - looks like a new house. We had D'arata Painting work on our house. The entire experience was excellent. We bought an older house/cabin outside Nevada City. It was a challenging job as it's an older place that hadn't been treated in years and there were various areas with wood repairs (dry rot) that didn't match. They provided superb guidance and options on how to tackle it. They did an incredible job and finished on time (and budget). Everything from initial quote to post work follow up has been great. We've actually asked them back for another job.

Chris and his crew were out last fall to paint my home and two sheds. They did a wonderful job and unbelievable prep work before applying the primer and two coats of paint. Everyone on the crew was very friendly and professional. Weather became an issue at one point, but Chris kept working with me to arrange convenient times for the crew to return to my home as the weather permitted.

I hired Chris to stain some custom cabinetry to match the existing wood in the room. They were very professional from start to finish. Chris stayed in contact with me via text to keep me informed of the schedule and they were always right on time. After the first coat of stain, Chris sent me a picture and I decided to go a shade lighter. Chris was very understanding of my request and accommodated me with changing his schedule along with the extra effort of lightening that first coat. His attention to detail is excellent. We recently had Chris and his crew refinish our ironwood deck. They were very professional - letting me know when to expect them each morning of the job and knocking on the door to let me know when they arrived (as I work from home). They really took their time with the job in power washing the deck, then sanding it down, and finally staining it. They clearly take pride in their work and don't just rush through it to get on to the next job. Our deck looks absolutely beautiful!

I would highly recommend Chris for any painting needs you may have, we were remodeling our house in rocklin to sell it and planned on doing the painting ourselves to save money but as most remodeles do different phases took longer than expected so when it came time to paint we just wanted to be done and have someone else do it, a friend recommended D’Arata Painting but I was worried that being “out of town” and short notice it wasn’t going to work out with them but to my surprise Chris said they do a lot of work in my area and that he would look at his schedule and get back to me the following

We recently had Chris D'Arata Painting prepare and paint the exterior wood trim on our Victorian style house and outbuildings. We had a very quick job that needed to get done in order to put our house on the market. We got 3 bids from local companies and Chris was in the middle. We could have gone with the cheaper bid but we felt that Chris did a more thorough job during the walk-through. We were impressed with his eye for detail and keen focus on the specifics. Chris did a beautiful job of painting our laundry room and bath. Because it was a rather small job, some other painters I talked to either overbid the project or basically told us we should look elsewhere, but Chris was quick to send me a bid, and set up an appointment. His price was fair, and he even went above and beyond the call of duty by caulking our baseboards and cleaning light fixtures before putting them back in place. After talking to several painters, we hired Chris D'Arata to paint the exterior of our house. I'd seen his name on jobs around town. We did so in August and at that time he said that he could begin work in November. It sounded OK to us, a guy that was fairly busy must be doing something right. D'arata painting, painted my house recently Nov 2013. He is honest and went above and beyond to please me and make sure we were satisfied. He used the top of the line Pittsburgh paint and caulked all the door jams window frames and trim and more. He was very easy to work with and worked hard and was very meticulous. He also had some good insight on color matching and triple coated the sunny side because it was soaking up the paint . I would highly recommend them.
