From its inception in 1956, when Joe Simak purchased a single axle dump truck, to the present (three generations later), the company's goal has been satisfied customers. Over the years, we have expanded and diversified our operations to include mining and washing gravel, as well as excavation work including septic installation.

In addition to delivering to our customers, we have a fully stocked sales yard where experienced operators load customers' vehicles with aggregates, pool sand, screened & unscreened top soil, various mulches, and landscape stone.
Services
For more than a half century, three generations of women have helped Simak Trucking and Excavating provide the raw material for countless Ashtabula County improvement projects. The business, located on Route 20 in North Kingsville, was launched in 1956 in Monroe Township when Joe Simak bought a dump truck and began a hauling business to supplement his first love - agriculture.

They were so nice to my workers and so friendly to me on the phone with great advice about what product I needed for a project we were working on - being friendly and kind goes a long these days. We even showed up 5 minuets before closing and they stayed late for us

I live .7 miles away, it takes 1 minute to drive from there and they want $60 for delivery, I can fill my truck and drive to west Virginia on that. A lady I know got 2 yards delivered from another place for $78 mulch and delivery

Friendly and knowledgeable workers. Loaders perform well and will not inadvertently overload your trailer. An excellent iconic business for Ashtabula!

I have been using Simak for 3 years now. I have had the delivery and used my dump trailer to pick up. Good people to deal with. Prices are reasonable. Family owned company.
