Our passion and mission is to preserve the natural ecological balance in the great Pacific Northwest (and beyond) and to ensure a healthy, regenerative living environment for generations to come.

Services
NW Bloom is a woman-owned and operated business located in Woodinville, WA that has been specializing in creating environmentally-sound landscapes in the greater Seattle area since 2000. We are proud to be leaders and educators in ecological landscaping who can offer viable alternatives to conventional landscape practices.
If you don't really know where to start - don't worry, that is very common. We often begin our client relationships with a simple conversation on the phone. At this time the client can get familiar with our process and ask questions that pertain to their project in order to make sure we are a good fit.
Once we have design details to work from, we start the build and installation phase. Our construction crew pays careful attention to detail with pride in their work from the start of the project to the final touches. We build a variety of garden elements from entertainment or living spaces and even outdoor games like chess or bocce courts.
Whether you are looking for a full CAD plan or simple sketches to convey ideas, we can help you. Our design service is based on a thorough process which takes the client's wants, needs, style and budgetary concerns into consideration in order to create a beautiful and functional landscape - with ecological and permaculture principles.
We are excited to be the stewards of 8+ acres of farmland at South 47 Farm in Redmond, WA where we will be growing our nursery to provide locally grown plants with no chemicals, to the region. See details of the types of plants below. Plants that are native to the Pacific Northwest are the perfect foundation to any landscape or restoration project.

We are so fortunate to have such a permaculture leader in our area! Jessi is not only a consummate professional, but she approaches projects with compassion, enthusiasm, and a genuine respect for the earth. I would recommend Jessi to anyone (even folks without land can enjoy her inspiring books) and hope to work together again.

Not only is Jessi a consummate professional, she is also highly revered in the permaculture field. I have great esteem for her vision, great envy of the projects she has completed and great longing for a property that she could design someday. You can't go wrong supporting someone with her experience, her grace, and her vision!

I had a fantastic experience with NW Bloom. Jessi and her team are highly professional. I am a hands on gardener and wanted to do a lot of the landscaping myself but needed some reassurance on my design. I met with Jessi for a consultation to go over the feasibility of some of my ideas. Jessi was great to work with.
After meeting with her, I decided to hire NW Bloom to install a rain garden along with with 2 large rain barrels, collecting the water from almost our entire roof.
During the development of the rain garden, the NW Bloom team even offered to move the excavated soil into my newly constructed

Jessi is an honest and talented designer that takes great care to represent natural processes to her clients and to educate them on sustainable practices, recommending native planting and showing us all how to work with the earth - not against her. Kudos to Jessi and her talented crews for all their hard work throughout the Puget Sound...

Everyone is excited about their new landscape when it first goes in, but here's a review from someone who has lived with their NW Bloom garden for over five years! I engaged NW Bloom to totally overhaul my entire yard- front and back. Working with Jessi was: 1) so much fun and 2) such an incredible educational journey. She listened to what I wanted-- and when I didn't know what I wanted it was like she just intuited it. The design she came up with took everything -and everyone in our family- into consideration. The NW Bloom crew was fantastic about install. They went above and beyond at every turn

After hemming and hawing for years, in 2010, NW Bloom worked with us over several appointments to focus on choices for the garden of our dreams. We wanted a colorful, sustainable, edible landscape, and No. More. Grass. Removing the lawn opened up an entirely luscious new world for everything else on our small lot in West Seattle. Jessi Bloom carefully prepared a conceptual design for us based on a customized questionnaire that made us feel engaged in the creative process - it helped us realize what's possible. We learned the value of up-cycling our crusty old concrete patio after we demolished

I talked to atleast 5 other landscapers before I met Jessi. I picked Jessi to do my tiny home backyard project. I was looking for 2 things: (1) advice on plants in my yard, and (2) had one specific area that I needed re-landscaped.
We started with us meeting at her house/office to talk about plants and ideas. Then I hired her to give me tips/advice/ideas on my whole yard. After that she priced out the work to lay a path and plants in one section of my yard.
I loved Jessi's approach to the whole project. I like her unassuming, back-to-nature attitude. She gave my tiny home project the kind
