Established in 1994, Dominy Construction Group provides full-service commercial general contracting to small businesses. DCG is focused on delivering business owners custom capability and a level of control over site selection, facility design and construction for Aviation, Institutional, Industrial and Retail markets.
This multi-purpose building includes a classroom, restrooms, shower facilities, concession stand, office space, and storage and will allow a wide range of services and programs for the community of East Point as well as serving Concorde Fire Soccer. The custom-built underground geothermal "loop" - a radiant floor tied to an energy-efficient geothermal HVAC system.
Redeveloping an existing site, especially an urban site, can be rewarding in many ways. But it also presents its own interesting challenges. For Bim's, one of those challenges was extra demolition- while tearing down the previous store, it was discovered that there was a whole other foundation beneath the store!

Dominy Construction Group was a pleasure to work with. We are a small local church in the Hoschton area and needed a complete renovation to the building we purchased. After getting bids from 4 different companies, and going with one of those, we had an issue with the chosen company getting the permits required. We were lucky enough to get in contact with DCG and they came to the rescue. They were able to work within our budget and timeline. Get ready for a glowing review. In 2012 our company purchased land next to I-85 in Suwanee, GA. Preparing for our project could have been much smoother if we had met Mike and Tim Dominy earlier in the process. Suffice it to say, meeting the Dominy's was what turned us around and got it completed. They even turned us on to a mortgage broker who knew what she was doing. Mike and Tim just finished an addition to our premier Indoor RV storage facility in Lawrenceville and we could not be more pleased with the results. They say what they do and do what they say. Complete, correct and on-time. We were especially pleased how well they handled the inevitable bumps in the road that come with a major project. They communicated in both a clear and timely fashion and were very fair about sharing costs--even on circumstances that were well beyond their control. We hired DCG for an overhaul of a property we needed to convert to showroom, warehouse and office space. Mike, Tim and their guys were professional and attentive. They worked hard to get the project done on time and overcame a number of "suprises" that are inherent with construction on an older, existing structure. I will hire this company in a minute to tackle any General Contracting need I have going forward.
