Owner, Chris Leslie grew up in Lexington and currently resides in Rockbridge Baths with his wife and children. Leslie Excavating is a full-service excavating contractor that performs a mix of commercial and residential work for both general contractors and individuals.

I have contracted yearly with Leslie Excavating over the past 10 years. The work has ranged from repair and maintenance of our one mile neighborhood gravel road, culvert installations, complete lawn restoration, lawn mowing, and the construction of a large vegetable garden with retention wall approximately 4’ x 70’. Chris Leslie is quick to respond to inquiries, usually within an hour either by text or phone. He has a crew of hard workers who are polite. Most of the work I’ve authorized needed to be timed for various factors i.e. when our road was wet enough to grade, the fall grass growing
