American Heritage Homes was founded in 1995 by Bill Crum and Gary Libertini. Since then, the company has not only built hundreds of custom homes throughout Central Ohio, but also a reputation as a high-quality builder at an affordable price. After studying design in college and earning a degree in Architecture, Gary knew he wanted to become a home builder.

I was thrilled to begin building my first new house. Now after waiting on Bill Crum to finish it I have nothing but regrets. Greg, the main contractor was never on site when I stopped in. I only saw him when something was wrong and I requested we meet. One example is the dryer vent was not hooked up and the drywall was put up over it. I told Greg but he didn't believe me. He had me look through all my photos because he didn't want to take down a couple pieces of drywall. I insisted. I was correct. My tub was installed with a crack. Water poured through the ceiling to my bathroom below. Bill Crum

Excellent builder with quality customer service and beautiful homes! Although building a home is always stressful, and even more so when you do it from a distance as we did, the American Heritage Homes staff went above and beyond to make our home building experience memorable and as easy on us as possible (not to mention exciting)! They built us an amazing, beautiful, high quality home with everything we asked for and then some! American Heritage was awesome to work with. We were able to work with one project manager through the entire build. We were able to easily modify a standard plan to fit what we wanted. The owner was involved in the process from Pre construction to the final walk through. We had visited several other builders prior to selecting AHH. These other builders used heavy sales tactics, and/or dismissed us as we did all lot prep. American Hertiage Homes we’re down to earth, and transparent. Thank you for being an honest builder and for our beautiful home!

We had a custom home built with American Heritage last year and couldn’t be happier. We had a lot of needs and they met every one! The entire process went flawlessly, all of the contractors were professional and efficient. We used the Butler floor plan and they drew up an in law suite for us. I would highly recommend checking them out if your wanting to build a home.

Be careful if you are considering this company as your builder. In my experience with them, the staff will make promises and statements that the ownership will not honor. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want to have an actual custom home built. In my opinion, they seem to lack the ability and desire to do much more than make modifications to their standard plans.

After shopping several home builders, I found the people at American Heritage to be very straight forward with pricing and features. I spoke with a couple of their references and they loved their new home. They were easy to work with and we got incredible value for our money. They were even willing to explain some finer points of home construction that interested me particularly. Highly recommended!.

We built our home in 2001 # 271 Believe in the scheme of Americans Heritages numbering plan. On poured Walls set to the correct grade and an amazing home. We are 15 years in the home and do not even have a crack in the drywall, which is unheard of. All the hardwood trim is as tight as the day we moved in, 6 panel doors the same. All appliances (Furnace, Hot Water Heater) are still 100% - and best of all NO SQUEAKY FLOORS.
