The typical air conditioning system is a split system, with an outdoor condensing unit and an indoor air handler. Using electricity as its power source, the compressor (located inside the condensing unit) pumps refrigerant through the system to gather heat and moisture from indoors and remove it from the home to be expelled as warm air usually blowing out of the top of the outdoor condensing unit.
A heat pump works on the basic principle that the sun's heat is always in the air, even in cold air. A heat pump extracts this heat from the outside air and transfers it into the interior of the house by way of the house's internal duct work. This heat is circulated through the ducts by a high-powered fan after it passes over a condensing coil to either add or remove heat from the air.

The A/C mechanics were amazing! They removed my old whole unit. Replaced with new awesome quiet unit! They were very knowledgeable and alerted us with each steps. Replaced A/C foundation and duck fan foundation and heating coils. Replaced thermostat. Arrived early and finished by afternoon! Cleaned up property with care and professionalism! When we hired these folks to perform a pre-purchase home system check, they missed a problem that caused our coils to freeze at a cost of $1000. 35 days later the coils freeze again. The return call service fee is $130 (because they only guarantee repairs for 30 days) plus another $526 part. The service tech, Bikenson, preferred no conversation so responded to our questions with "Do you want to be my assistant?" and "You will not understand if you don't do this work". His final service call here he remained on a personal call 90% of the time, so our communication was limited. Our coils have frozen

This company is amazing. I recently had a problem in one of my locations and spoke to Ruth on the phone. Ruth was very helpful and tried to troubleshoot with me on the phone before sending out a tech. It was a Friday and someone still came out to repair my unit so I would not have to sit in the heat over the weekend. After I logged a service request with my property manager on 9/25 at about 6pm, Brad called me and arranged to send someone to my house in 9/26. They came on time and fixed the electrical short causing my AC to stop working. Great service and highly recommended!!!

Brad came out right on time. He checked things out, and said my A/C was reparable and I didn't need a new one at this time. So......he fixed it!!! And saved me from going into big time debt. (I had quotes from two companies for a new a/c, and they both said it couldn't be repaired.) I love this company! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Brad was pleasant, efficient, and totally capable. I can't say enough good things about the service, and the price. I suggest you call him first, if you have A/C problems.

My a/c was leaking so I knew there was a clog. I called and they had someone come out within a few hours. Great service and better speed. Thankfully it's nice and cool so not using the a/c wasn't an issue. However they got here quick enough that if it was hotter it would only be a slight inconvenience. The a/c tech was friendly, quick and wore protective gear. I would definitely recommend this place.

We "inherited" AC Mechanix when we moved into what had been our income property in Orlando (they had been caring for the AC at the rental while we rented it). From the beginning, seasonal check-ups were on time and reasonably priced. The techs were knowledgeable, timely and cleaned up after their work.

Made appt a few weeks ago for annual maintenance
They were to come between 8-12 got 2 reminders the day before At 10am got text saying they were running late. I called several times saying I would prefer to reschedule, but was assured I was next on route. By 3 I left the house at 4:02 I got a text saying they were on their way! However it wasn't till an HOUR later 5:02 that their tech said they were at the house! No idea how their work is but they don't know how to tell time.

Brad and his team are awesome! We have an older unit and needed a Preventative maintenance check with a couple other things to get it in working condition. They caught a couple minor issues over a couple visits and were fair with pricing and swift with scheduling. I will 100 percent buy our new unit from them when we upgrade soon.

I have used AC Mechanix for years. The owner, Brad, is passionate about his work, very trustworthy and is a nice gentleman. His staff (customer service and techs) is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I do not trust another company to perform any repairs on my AC, or any replacements. I can not state how happy I was with the service I received. Manny was polite, courteous, efficient and professional. He was also patient and kind with my son and dog. He explained what he was doing and why, and then walked me through what to look for should I have trouble with my A/C in the future.

It's been over five years since we got our new system and recently had some issues. Turns out the exit line was just severely blocked, they had to come out twice to blow it out!! They only charged me one basic service fee and he essentially checked everything. He easily could have charged me twice or even one heartier fee and been well within their right.

Having lived in Florida all my life I have had to hire a lot of different AC companies, but NONE have been as helpful as AC Mechanix. They saved me a lot of money and cleaned my unit instead of trying to sell me a new unit or more freon---my Duke electric bill went down $77 in one month! Also saved my sister from having to buy a new unit (recommended by another company) by just installing a capacitor. Every now and then you find an OUTSTANDING company--in expertise and professionalism-- and this company is one of those. My best "find" in years. Thanks Brad and Manny.

You can't find many other AC stores that are as honest and worthy as AC Mechanix. They always have great prices and service with their friendly and knowledgeable techs. Need a new system? Well Brad can always give you a great deal and won't steer you wrong. Yes, no one is perfect and I have had issues with getting service after hours, but in all honesty does not having enough staff on hand during the evening make them a bad company? No! Not all companies work 24/7. However I have never had a problem with them and they have always been straight forward with the costs of a repair. No hidden

A/C mechanix were sent by my warranty company to repair my air conditioner. they told me it was dirty evap coils, not covered by the warranty and wanted to charge me $930.00 to clean 2 evap coils.
i called another company.... they found there was nothing wrong with the coils and that both units were just out of freon.
this also isnt the first time they have done this...its always the same problem every time they make a service to call my property... i have asked the warranty company to not send them again. if you use them i would suggest you get a second opinion.
