King Kongcrete recommends to all homeowners that have had us install a new driveway, patio or walkway to use the "water curing" method. Concrete cures, doesn't dry. During this process concrete gets very hot. The chemicals in concrete like lye and cement create a chemical reaction, while curing Begins.
Many people will tell you that there are two kinds of concrete. Concrete that WILL crack and Concrete that HAS ALREADY cracked. Yet, reality is far more complex. Properly mixed and installed concrete will normally have FEW cracks and a long life while improperly installed and/or mixed concrete will have many cracks and a short life.
While both are laid over a substrate of gravel, and both are basically a mixture of sand and stone, different adhesives are used to hold those components together: tar for asphalt and cement for concrete. The characteristics of those adhesives amount to the differences-both pro and con-between the two popular driveway surfaces.

In 2017 I thought I was hiring R&R Solutions. Ty, the salesperson was great to deal with, initially. Once the project was completed however, it was a different story. The fire pit that was poured slumped and is crooked and the guys who did the work troweled in a bunch of leaves. As soon as it rained, bits of concrete started popping up leaving leaf prints all over. After a lot of back and forth a failures to show up, Ty told me his hands were tied. I had scheduled a quote/bid for a patio and walkway I wanted done in my backyard. Mark showed up, took some measurements and did not really explain their process or job quality. He told me he would have a quote to me in a couple days. A week and a day later, I received a text from him stating he dropped the ball and wanted to know if the owner, Ty, could come drop the estimate off to me in a day or two. Recently we hired King Kongcrete to redo our driveway, sidewalk & a small colored stamped back patio extension.
After talking with multiple other companies we are so glad we chose them! Our new concrete looks so good, and Ty was so open about the pros & cons of doing concrete in this kind of climate. I guess the reason why a lot of concrete jobs don’t end up being so great is because if freeze & thaw factor, and because of how soft the soil can be. This all stuff we didn’t know.
If anyone is looking for any sort of concrete work, don’t hesitate to hire these guys! We feel their pricing

We couldn’t be happier with our new front porch and driveway! Ty was extremely personable, knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to what we wanted while providing some creative suggestions that we hadn’t thought of. We had shopped around and his price was very competitive and included widening our walkway by two feet which the other companies hadn’t suggested. I rarely write reviews, except in exceptional cases. After working with enough home contractors, I've almost come to expect them to disappoint in one way or another. Ty and his crew are a rare exception. They were very prompt, did excellent work at a reasonable price, and I can't think of anything they could have done to improve the overall experience.
If suppose if I had to say something negative, it's that they might be too prompt. Demolition was scheduled to begin at 7am, and they showed up around 6:40 to start unloading equipment and getting ready. Granted, it was a hot day with afternoon

We chose King Kongcrete on recommendation from a friend that had work done by them. We are EXCEEDINGLY happy with the work.
Ty was very patient with us while we tried to design what we wanted. His input and our vision made for a wonderful final product.
Picking the color was fun, too. So many choices! We finally picked Sahara and love how it complements the brick but also allows us to go with any wide range of paint colors for the house.
No question, we give King Kongcrete 5-Stars.

I worked with King Kongcrete over the summer for some masonry brick repairs to my house. The crew bricked in an existing doorway that we eliminated and now you cant even tell it was ever there.
