I've hired Approved Home Improvements on a few different occasions and am always pleased with the quality of work, honesty and quick response time. Most recently, we had an emergency with our fireplace and the living room was filling up with smoke leaving us unable to utilize the fireplace. Not only did Approved Home Improvements correct the issue promptly, they were also more affordable than 2 others we received quotes from. I will continue to personally hire them and refer them to anyone I know when needed.

They called to confirm my appointment the day before so I know they knew I was scheduled. The day of my appointment, no one called or showed up. I tried calling them several times and no answer. I took off work for the appointment. Extremely unprofessional. Definitely worth paying more money to go to someone more reliable.

I called and scheduled to have our fireplace cleaned and inspected. I told the person on the phone that I would not be home after 2pm, they said not a problem we will ensure we are out there in time. 3pm rolls around and we get a call that they are headed out but as we told them we were not home. I understand things happen so we went ahead and scheduled another appointment and again we told them we needed to leave at 2 and won't be home. So I sat around all day again and 3 o'clock rolled around and nothing. Called them many times with no response and we finally got a call back and the SAME person

The team from Approved Home Improvements cleaned my chimney and my dryer vent. They were very professional. They cleaned up after the cleanings and did not leave a mess. I feel much safer now using my fireplace and my dryer.
They also cleaned two chimneys for my mother and found numerous cracks. I was able to watch on camera as the chimneys were inspected. I am so glad we had this done so we can fix the problem before it causes a fire.

James and his assistant were amazing. Although I’d had regular chimney cleanings every year, James determined in the first 20 seconds that I had a non-working vent; actually a vent that had not been properly installed when the house was built. This had never been mentioned to me previously although I’d had my chimney cleaned 14 times in the last 14 years. His sharp eye and recommendations have most likely saved my home from a fire down the road. I am so glad I contacted them. They will make the necessary repairs and from the bottom of my heart I give Approved Home Improvement the highest recommendation

My chimney has been sporadically leaking for several years. The owner of another chimney company, that did some major work on my fireplace and chimney, had been coming out for a few years to try and fix it. He never did. I became very frustrated with him. It seemed like he wasn't really trying to figure out why. I saw the video of Jim on the Great Day show. I finally called Approved. Jim and another employee came out and thoroughly checked it. I hired Approved Home Improvements to inspect two chimneys, one at my mother's house, and one at mine. I really appreciated the camera view of the chimneys and the 'chimney education' I received from James.
The crew actually came early on the scheduled day and not only took good care of my home, they got right to work and didn't waste any time. The repair of the 'remedies' performed by the people who sold me the house were corrected and now I have a functional fireplace. They even taught me how to work the damper since I was not familiar with how it worked.

Since I have not used my fireplace frequently, I had not realized that my old chimney cap had come apart or that you needed to have chimney's cleaned and inspected periodically. James Anderson was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done to get the fireplace working again. They replaced my chimney cap and crown as well as relined and tuckpointed my chimney. I also had them seal the brick on my house The crew that did the work, showed up on time, were very thorough and professional and there was not mess. I appreciated their work.

Before Approved Home Improvements, I hired a company (MH) to clean both chimneys. They condemned both and placed metal liners in my chimneys to solve the issue. It was an awful experience! Then I started having a smoke smell in my basement.
I watched an ad on TV for Approved Home Improvements. I contacted them to see what they thought. Approved Home Improvements quickly came out, and assessed the situation for no charge. James thoroughly explained what they would do. He was very knowledgeable. The next morning I got a quote. Next week Approved Home Improvements
