Once known as Lakeside Construction, Lakeside Excavation was started by Richard Smith in 1973. What began as a business installing utility lines for a trailer court, quickly grew into a business offering underground utility services to the local customer. Richard's philosophy of hard work, fair pricing, and top-quality work is continuing through Lakeside Excavation's current owner, Richard's son, Tyler Smith.

The people that work here care about how people use their environment and want to work to ensure that they have clean water and sewer that works. Tyler is a 1996 graduate of Havre High School.

Pipe bursting is the process of replacing pipe with limited excavation, something we have been doing for over 20 years. Our Ditch Witch P-80 System allows PVC pipe to be installed from the connection at the sewer main. This system is desirable for areas where pulling pipe back in is not possible due to space constraints.
When you need an area leveled for a building or need thousands of cubic yards moved for a highway, call us.
