We highly recommend using Roy Mathis Moving. We had been on the road in an RV for two years, and had our things in a storage unit while we were traveling. We now have a condo and needed to have all the items in storage moved to our new condo.
It was a 5 star experience from the start. Ava answered our questions and scheduled the move. We heard rain was coming on our move date, so called Ava again and she was able to reschedule us in the same week.

Andrew, Mario and Cesar were superstars. They actually ran in between moving complicated heavy furniture. So many issues came up and they had that " can do " attitude. They were polite efficient and worth every penny. The office staff was also kind and thorough. They connected our fridge, put the mirror on a dresser after hours. Highly recommend.

If I could, I would give this company 10 stars rating! We are seniors and were moving after 20 years in Huntington Beach to Riverside. They were moving us during a record heatwave, but the guys were so helpful and always kept a genuinely cheerful, helpful attitude. The owner stopped by to introduce himself also.
Reasonably priced, they went above and beyond expectations. We are so grateful to them.

Long story: Reading reviews about moving companies was scaring me because of all the extra charges but then I came across Mathis Movers. I called them up and spoke with John and he gave me a run down of the pricing and it was pretty simple, you pay by the hour. It sounded good to me. He later texted me to confirm he had my date available. *I called him on a Saturday and he told me to speak with Ava on Monday to set it up.

Ive used them twice, both times I was very happy with them. They disassembled and resembled my furniture for me. They were very neat and cautious, nothing has broke and I respect that they try to be very efficient the amount of time they spend. If I move in the future again, I'll be giving them a call.

Everyone was nice, quick, and friendly. Even the owner showed up to mount my TV for a nominal fee. I was having issues with my fridge and he attempted to fix it. He couldn't, but later in the evening he texted to share any info he found. I definitely recommend Mathis and will tem friends and family.

This is an excellent moving company! I chose this company because of the great reviews, they are family owned and they have been in business for many years. From the beginning, Ava the scheduler was very accomodating. I had to change my scheduled move twice because the new house was not yet move in ready. At one point, the day I needed was booked but Ava went above and beyond and got us movers! The movers, Charro and Mario arrived early! These guys are awesome. They were flexible when I had to change the start time of my move because of issues at the new house, were friendly throughout the move, and carefully moved my stuff. They even provided me with wardrobe boxes for clothing I had planned to move in my car myself. I've recommended them to everyone I know!

Mathis Moving has moved us 5 times in the last 6 years. Most recently from our old home to a storage facility and then from the facility to our new home. Every time they have been top-notch! I wouldn't ever consider using another moving company. The movers are careful and friendly and listen to what you need and take care of it. I reached out to John via Yelp and Ava via the phone system. They were both amazing to work with and extremely prompt, professional, and accommodating. John and his crew helped me move from my condo in Los Angeles to a home in Long Beach and it was one of the smoothest moves I've ever had.

When our moving plans changed and we quickly needed to secure a moving company, I called Mathis on short notice and Ava worked to fit me into their schedule. Within 10 minutes on the phone, she reviewed what we had to move, quoted me specifics, gave me tips on how we could be most efficient with the move and save money, and was incredibly professional and personable. John and company are patient and willing to teach as they unload your belongings. We've moved a few times in the last five years (work related) and each time I've learned something about moving. I learned the most from John and his team. I'm good at tetris, this does not make me good at loading household goods onto a truck, simply fitting it all in there isn't the best way to move. John and crew are are respectful, intelligent, efficient, and careful... exactly what you want in a moving crew.
