About Report

Ashland Lock & Safe was founded by Ashland native Benjamin LaMere in 2005. He attended the Lockmasters Security Institute in 2002 and apprenticed for several years in Sedona, AZ before returning to his true home in the Northwest. His home and his business van were completely destroyed. Ben worked out of his Toyota 4Runner for the first 7 months after the fire.

One common problem with all Toyota locks from 1992-2007 is they contain two unique tumblers in their locks that cause them to get stuck and only turn partially. This may be due to the key being worn or the tumbler itself being worn.

Residential Report

Whether you are locked out of your house or need new hardware, Ashland Lock & Safe welcomes your call. Bluetooth door locks are genuine deadbolt locks. The locks run on two AA batteries and will send you a reminder when the batteries need replacing. The locks are supplied with regular keys but they are Bluetooth enabled.

Tried to help my coworker get his key out of his car. He is a young, new driver, and frustrated and confused so didn't process the address he was at or info they needed in the car right away. I tried to shout-out the address to him then he misheard me and we both gave conflicting info. Lady on the phone has the gall to assume he was inebriated and demanded to speak to me. It's not my car I was just trying to help, but okay, so I tell her No he's not inebriated I'm right here talking to him, and she said okay, and I thought that meant that would mean they would've sent someone out. She didn't say

Owner is very rude and unprofessional and also likes to post pics of customers dirty vehicles on the Internet on facebook communities for laugh and giggles.

There is no Facebook group warfare. It’s all him trying to save face and defend his questionable practices
He even overcharged my friend dave who’s got a disability and he took advantage of him. HOW RUDE AND SHAMEFUL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Ben was great. Very timely, efficient, checked out my locks and re-keyed two garage man doors with deadbolts and our front door after a major renovation, was able to make 3 sets of keys, all in maybe 45 minutes or less. Its great to support a good, quality, local company like this.

Had a great experience with these guys. My door into my garage lock all the sudden quit working. The guy that came was super friendly and had my door fixed in no time, and the price seemed more than fair! Would definitely use again though I hope I won’t need to...
